But now Chris Hansen has found himself on the receiving end of his own hidden camera tactics, after the married NBC anchor was secretly filmed on an illicit date with a blonde television reporter 20 years his junior.
Hansen, 51, has allegedly been having an affair with Kristyn Caddell, a 30-year-old Florida journalist, for the last four months.

Affair: Married NBC anchor Chris Hansen is allegedly having an affair with Florida television reporter Kristyn Caddell, who is more than 20 years his junior

Last weekend he was recorded taking Miss Caddell on a romantic dinner at the exclusive Ritz-Carlton hotel in Manalapan, before spending the night at her Palm Beach apartment.
Hansen, who has two young sons, was caught in an undercover sting operation arranged by the National Enquirer.

This reads like an April Fool's prank or something.

Now that's IRONICAL!

This IS the National Enquirer and they did the same thing to John Edwards. They were prolly going for the irony of getting him on video cuz they coulda just took pics and reported it.

no, not specifically referring to your comment or saying anyone was calling him a sex predator, but the story and these comments are clearly trying to setting up a correlation between what he did and the criminals he catches

Okay somebody who works for the National Enquirer's cousin. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal, I never pictured the guy living in a crystal palace. Egads, the man cheats on his wife, how unusual. Verses people who take advantage of the naive and vulnerable. I say hand his wife a cast-iron skillet and whatever she decides to do with it so be it. But these mofos, that don't mind rolling up in other grown folks houses to screw their 12 year old kids, or these credit card/shipping scammers damaging others livelyhood and hard earned lines of credit, shoot 'em.

Which is why NE is interested and it doesn't have to have anything to do with a personal vendetta against him. Just another salacious story to keep tongues wagging, and it will.

True, but let's be real this is what NE has ALWAYS done it's not new. They are a tabloid and exposing adulterers is their specialty. They did the SAME exact thing to Eric Benet when they followed him and his ex-girlfriend to his apt and waited until they both left in the morning. Breaking the news of his infidelity the week after Halle won the Oscar. This is how they make money.

Chris Hanses is extra tasty cuz he prides himself on setting up stings and exposing alleged molesters. Stinging the stinger is irresistable to a tabloid.

And let me add, although I appreciate what Chris did with his show by exposing all these pervs, there's something about his pompous, self-righteous ass that always worked my nerves. Which makes laughing at his cheating, pervy ass a lot easier.

That makes no sense. He isn't a sexual predator and he doesn't molest kids. He IS practicing what he preaches. If he were caught with someone underaged, that is hypocritical. He was just sleeping with another woman. That is not what he exposes. That is not what he preaches.

Now if this were on a tv show like "Cheater" it would be satisfyingly ironic. The whole point is that the stuff was televised for a profit (it was not news, it was not on PBS). In other words words they were making money off of the sexual crime operation, without helping it in any progressive way (unlike "Unsolved Mysteries" which actually helped solve the cases sometimes)

Imagine if someone killed your mother, and then I said hey, they're on track on catching the killer. I'm going to host, shoot and edit a television show about it to expose them to American television audiences. I'm also selling commercial time during this spot at a premium because the ratings are good. People just naturally love to be a vigelante mob even if this is the modern day version funneled through little electronic windows of edited, skewed, information. But I can profit off of that and buy myself two "wives".

It's not about the nature of the crime. It's the fact that a tv show has nothing to do with it, and harkens back to Roman days of putting criminals up for public entertainment as they got grilled... (literally back then).

It's me then, cause I don't remember the last time I bought a NE, and won't be buying one anytime soon. Anyway, I've had a occassion to look at Chris and wonder for a moment what's hiding in his closet and hoped it wasn't too bad, everybody's got something. Besides, I've never seen him demonstrating public affection to his wife for profit/public admiration or spouting great love sonnets to her or anything, so I don't feel like he betrayed my trust in anyway, so to me this is between him and his wife.

I never said he was a sexual predator. But on his stings he commets on the fact some of the men are married that get caught. That was the point of my first commet. Why dont you read.
