matt said: Okay, so I like this look. But I showed it to my wife, and she had a different opinion.
She basically said: 1) This cut would over-emphasize my high hairline and tall forehead. 2) She likes my "Jim Carrey Dumb & Dumber fringe" bangs because they lower my hairline. Does this change your professional opinion any? BTW, she is not a professional hair stylist, and it's my hair--not hers. How long are your bangs?

They can't be more than one inch. In fact, if you look at the "notch" above my right eye, that probably gives you an idea of where my hairline is. You do NOT have a high forehead. Go for it! Just tell her, LaVisHh threatened you with a brutal spanking.

Thanks LaVisHh! I'll tell Kim that 100% of the .orgers polled disagree with her. Granted, you're the only person polled, but what's that old book called? How to Lie With Statistics?
Unless Josh (the hairstylist) gives me a compelling reason not to do it, I'm going to go with the cut you suggested. Since you recommended having it trimmed every three or four weeks, I'll set up a followup appointment while I'm at the salon, and if I still like the cut after a few weeks, we can consider some subtle highlights on the second visit. Once again, thanks for your professional advice! Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |
