One thing you have learned from the org... I have learned that if I complain about something physical that Dan will use his photoshop skills to put things into perspective with one photo.

i learnt....
say what u think... dont hold back try and be nice to ppl... even if they want to tuffen up a lill enjoy the jokes sex threads r the most popular topics to bring up delete threads do well 2 just because u dont photowhore does not mean u can't tell ppl they look great birthday threads rock
i learn words i never heard b4... heaps... lucky google is just as educational
i also learnt to avoid certain threads... eg.... best / popular list threads sucking up to orger threads plus when johnart posts this
but mostly i learnt that it does not take long to make friends... there r real genuine ppl here that one day i would luv to bump into
and yes i learnt to b sane

What I've learned is how stupid people are when it comes to Prince [& obsessed]... Only controversial threads get any real response... If you're not either hated or liked on Prince.org, your doing something wrong.... Take nothing serious & try to read through [mostly] all the comments before you respond... A lot of people need to leave sarcasm alone!
So, pretty much what everyone else has said so far....

My six month break was nice, went by really fast.
I have learned that there are great ppl here that I enjoy spending time with IRL.

-The trolls are not fed, which is a very positive thing
-You can find anything: music snobs, pop lovers, biggest Prince fans, jaded Prince fans, people from the US, Europe, Asia, etc.

I have learned....
Anal douching is a MUST if you are a bottom..
That there is more rasicm and hatred alive today than I thought.. Be it against blacks or whites... This is something I dont encounter in my real life and i have been shocked and appaled by quite a few people here...
I have learned so many different things from people all over the WORLD! Which is so cool to me because I love hearing about different regions and cultures and how people live, be it across the ocean or just a few states away!
I have also learned to stay out of Politics and religion and music and more forums!
I also have found people who are like me! Growing up in a small midwestern town there are not alot of Prince fans!

The GD forum has a clear structure
The other main forums of the org (Prince Forum, Music & More, P&R) are more anarchic or, better said, every orger there is her/his own Queen/King, but the GD forum reminds me of the ancient Roman Republic:
- there's a Senate (lobby) formed, perhaps rightfully, by orgers (patricians) who have been here for more than 9-10 years or even since the late-90's. Then there are the equites, reasonably popular orgers who created their accounts during the Musicology/3121 era and who are councious (perhaps subcounciously) of the existence of this Senate and try to be good friends with it, perhaps even acquiring the title of patrician conscriptus in due time, and finally there is the plebs, formed by recent (or maverick / unpopular) orgers which their opinion doesn't count that much (or at all). If you want a successful, 5-page thread on the GD forum, you BETTER have the previous blessing/approval/support of the Senate...
the mods are Jupiter, Mars, Ceres, Minerva, etc
