Do you have any buddies that could meet you there or go to the gym with you? It's easier to stay motivated when you have friends to workout with.
You don't need that at all. My motivation are the cats at my gym who look better than me, stronger and more defined. I push myself to get like them. And I'll pick their brains to find out what their routine is, what their diet is like, what supplements they're taking..
Don't wait on anybody. Friends aren't always reliable when it comes to hitting the gym on a regular basis.
Some people need it, some don't. A training partner would definitely help me though. I used to be one of the bigger guys at the gym and people always asked me for training and dieting advice, even the guys who work there, so there was no challenge there. Never really considered it competition anyway. Just competing against myself.
That's why I never got on stage even though I have friends who competed at the highest national level and one even international. Funny thing is even though they all still work out, they none of them have competed in about a year. Maybe I need to find some new fanatic friends. |

BTW - I should mention that RIGHT NOW I am logged on to one of the computers at the gym. Just put in my workout, cooling off now by posting on the Org.

I'm an Org-crackhead.
At least you weren't reading the org on the treadmill...or were you? |

I was fortunate enough to meet a new friend at the gym...he's a bodybuilder and he's been giving me alot of great advice on how to get in shape, what to eat, what not to eat and how to lift weights properly.Having a training partner is a great thing |

Six days a week. It's not the lack of visits to the gym that's the problem. It's the frequency of visits to the fridge that is. "She made me glad to be a man" |

Got this routine from a cat at another site. Little dude, but stronger than mfers twice his size. Knows martial arts, too. I just have to change it into four days. Monday and Tuesday will be my power days, rest Wednesday, and do the light workouts Thursday and Firday.
Day 1: Upper body power day.
This is chest, back, shoulders, arms
Day 2: Lower body power day.
This is quads, hams, glutes, calves
These days are for moving heavy weight.
Day 3: rest
Day 4: chest and arms
Day 5: legs
Day 6: back and shoulders
Day 7: rest

I posted this on another thread last night, at the gym, at about 12:30pm...
So...I've just discovered that showing up at the gym at 10:30pm and just a little bit does NOT make for a good workout.

Although maybe it'll offset the Taco Bell I'm about to go buy.
Honestly - I've come to realize that I'm too damned OLD to be eating Taco Bell at 1:30am anymore.
Have alot of water to drink during the day & crunches to do later today at the gym.
