I do a different body part each day.

Monday - shoulders & triceps

Tuesday - legs

Wednesday - chest

Friday - back & biceps

As you see, I have a day in-betwwen my upper-body workouts.

Where's the cardio? You should come to zumba class with me on Thursdays. It's great cardio and great fun!

Oh, I do cardio on the days I work out. Mostly stairmaster & kettlebells.

Every Day for 1 hr and a half. I used to exercise like 3 hrs a day and at work well for 7. Right now due to injury I am only doing 1 hr and half soon to be 3. I walk everywhere in nY and can walk around 60 blocks.

I used to lift hard and heavy 4-5 times a week, doing the dieting too, but about a year ago I just couldn't do it anymore. The last time I set foot in the gym was back in August, 2010. Motivation is still very low and I don't see myself going back to the gym anytime soon, even though I'm much smaller and fat now. Maybe it's because now it's so much easier to find clothes that actually fit.

So you're smaller but fatter, which makes your clothes fit now?

confuse

How does that work?

Do you have any buddies that could meet you there or go to the gym with you? It's easier to stay motivated when you have friends to workout with.

Yes, much less muscle mass and different proportions now. I could always get bigger shirts if they were too tight around the chest, arms and shoulders, but usually they were already very wide around the waist. Just looked horrible IMO. Now I can just walk into a regular store and pretty much any XL will fit and look good. biggrin

Pretty much had the same problem with pants, too tight around the thighs, way too big around the waist.

Yeah I used to have a training partner and that worked out really well. Too bad he's not in town much anymore, so he moved to a different gym.

Two to four times a week depending on my mood. Sometimes I want to bust it out in the gym and other times I want to do a few crunches then eat Haagen Dazs while catching up on RHONJ. biggrin Plus my trainer is a bit of a bitch and I just don't want to pay his ass anymore.

You don't need that at all. My motivation are the cats at my gym who look better than me, stronger and more defined. I push myself to get like them. And I'll pick their brains to find out what their routine is, what their diet is like, what supplements they're taking..

Don't wait on anybody. Friends aren't always reliable when it comes to hitting the gym on a regular basis.

disbelief You're damned right!

My buddy was gonna get me "huge" come summertime. He gave me the whole motivational speech that got me psyched into working out. We worked out a total of 3 times together. Then he just was always "busy" when I called or texted.

confused I can take a hint.

My gym is weird...no one really interacts. The juiceheads kind'a stick together, the buff dudes walk around with a "don't mess with me" scowl, and the trainers are walking around trying to sell you training sessions.

I have a co-worker who knows what he's doing and offered to help me out if I went to HIS gym...but I like mine for the convenience and facilities.

shrug
