Chinchillas Taking a Dust Bath

The animals instinctively clean their fur by taking dust baths, in which they roll around in special chinchilla dust made of fine pumice. In the wild their dust is formed from fine ground volcanic rocks.

O man eye used 2 have a chinchilla his name was charley,he was grey had a huge bushy tail he was lovely.Watching him in his sand bath was the cutest thing ever!he would spin/toss & turn & was so happy having a bath!!They r beautiful animals & i miss my charley very much!!!.
