Yes it can, but I'm not watching it early. The season is too short as it is.

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Honestly, I can see why some have a meh attitude about the show. A 9 month break in the action is enough to kill anyone's enthusiasm.

I have watched episode 1 twice and will watch it again tonight. I catch more and more as I watch it. It was very fast paced with a lot of nuances and information being thrown. After the 9 month hiatus, hell, I was just happy, (read thrilled & excited beyond measure), to see my show again, but the momentum is off.

Like I said before, I hope they do a proper job of fleshing out the multitude of story lines in play over the next 11 episodes.

For me, it's hard to to be so excited because I know a 9 month wait is coming again all too quickly.

I am in Heaven now, no doubt about it, but knowing it will be all too brief does dampen the fun for me.

IMHO, this episode gets better the more you watch it.

Has anyone else found themselves TOTALLY creeped out by Fiona Shaw's Marnie character?

That bit where she channels Eddie! CREEPY!

Then there's the bird scene. There's a bit of continuity problems. If you watch closely, one second Jesus & Lafayette are holding handS & the very next second they aren't. You also see that some of the other witches have stopped holding hands, so I THINK that the bird dies again because it flew outside the circle, not because the witches stopped holding hands, as suggested on other sites. Again...IMHO.

The fairy shit is so horrible. they really shold have figured out a cinematic way of showing that stuff. It looked like a 1979 episode of Buck Rogers, and the acting and drama was so cheesy and fake (especially with the grandpa)! HORRIBLE.

But there was good stuff... all the witch stuff was great.

And the Hoyt egg eating scene was great too.

All the Sookie + Eric + Bill stuff failed. Just seemed cheesy and fake. We were laughing.

But revealing Bill to be a king at the end was the one good part with him. Making him in control and possibly evil is a good thing at this point. His character otherwise is a one note borefest victim.

Why do they have to have such horrible shit like that trick fairy world? That is the kind of shit you find in a horrible movie like "Yor: Hunter from the Future".

Fuck that.

The witch stuff and the Hoyt + Jessica scenes was the good stuff for my party of peeps. I was actually embarressed to be watching all of that first part with the peaches and then the "war".

i did notice that hands were seperated b4 the bird finally croaked again.

i do need 2 watch this episode at least one more time cause i'm hearing that when sam is with the other shifters they talk about skinwalkers ..hmmmm

Didn't like the first episode either. I succumbed and watched the second episode. It was much better.
