I agree with everybody else here, I hate it too! For many years I did not allow anybody to even take a photo of me and that is why there are hardly any pics of me from the age between 10 and my mid-thirties .

There are many famous actors who don't ever watch their own movies for this reason!

Im the same as all of you! I HATE having pics taken... If this is the case with most of us how do movie or rock stars do it! Cuz not all of them are pretty!

I used to do TV for a living and every show I did was taped. I was supposed to watch the tapes (so I could improve my on-air performance), but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

If I couldn't do it when I was 30 years younger and 30 pounds lighter, it certainly ain't happening now.

If I tell you the product -you MIGHT find the commercial. Even though I couldn't find it. Besides that would be plastered all over this ORG site. I couldn't escape it. It's not a completely embarrassing commercial-but it is not one that I would define as kewl either. I'll just say it's an international company that is well known.

I hate hearing my voice too. At my last two jobs, I spent a lot of time on the phone. Everyone told me what a professional phone voice I had. One guy told me I should be a phone sex operator. I heard myself on our answering machine, I swear I sounded like a munchkin. EEKS!

As far as video footage, my family likes to do this when we are eating. I usually see myself putting a big serving of food in my mouth. I hate that!

It took me a long time until I posted my first photo here. And I chose my avatar because at that time I did not want to show my face .

I often get that while working, too. Although I think a lot of that may just be the fact that we can form clear, well articulated sentences (not something you are guaranteed while talking to people on the phone these days). All my friends, past girlfriends and family members have complimented it as well. And I can sing. I just HATE hearing it. But seriously, it puts me in this weird surreal place. Like my brain can't process that I'm listening to my own voice.

Pictures used to be something you kept in a box or an album that you pulled out when friends or family came over to show them what you'd been up to, or to relive some memories. Cheap digital cameras (in everything!) and the internet changed all of that. Now ANYBODY can take your picture and post it ANYWHERE with your name attached to it so it comes up in a search engine. Now they can take your picture just to annoy you, because it costs nothing to get them developed. They can purposely take your picture just to show it to somone you don't want to see it. Its annoying! I always hated having my picture taken (my boxes and albums are like, 99 to 1 pics of other people vs pics of me), but now I REALLY hate it.

I find I took better pics on standard cameras vs digital ones... hmmm interesting...

I don't really like watching my videos..

Well, it depends on what I'm doing in the video. I like some but hate others.

That said, I feel the exact same way when I see myself in stills, let alone video.

I look at me in videos and I'm GRATEFUL people let me hang with them!!
