I have recently been contacted by two friends. im in my mid forties and i we used to go to college together in my late teens.havent seen them in twenty five years. They want to meet up soon and they are arranging a class reunion. Even though i get told a lot i look young for my age i stil feel a bit uneasy about going. Its been a long long time since i saw any of them. Have other orgers bin to school reunions ??? how did it turn out on the night ? Any advice for me please.........may be i just shouldnt go!

i did the high school thingy ... and the college thingy ...

the high school thingy was interesting - cus like you - i hadnt seen a bunch of them for 25 yrs and my first impression when i got the phone call - was - "why do i want to go to this"?

Most of my high school "buddies" - my best friends- moved away after high school and were not goin to this reunion ...

but i opted to go - and had a good time . I figured , hey , if 2 guys took the time out of their schedule and called me .... to come .... i might as well go ...

and I did . We now get together every couple months to shoot the shit over beer or whatever for an hr or 2 ...

My college reunion story wasnt as successful . It was more a "gathering" of friends .... than a reunion . My roomate from college was a funny great john belushi type charactor who I hadnt seen in 25 yrs or so - we tried to hook up a few times between NYC and here ... but never did .... so .... NOW ... he buys a bar ... and I plan to go and see him .... with a few other friends from college .... WELL - i came away from that "reunion" as thinking .... well .... i dont know if I would have done it again . I think I put way more into the friendship than he did ... but on the plus side I did see an old girlfriend who i really admire - and we got to touch base and catch up ... so it wasnt all bad ...

go - have fun . make fun of some of your friends who got old and bald and ... well .... u know ....

I've been to every one of my high school reunions. I've had a great time at all of them.

Never been.

My 8th grade class had a 25-year reunion last year that fell on my birthday...so I wasn't able to attend.

My high school class never had a "real" reunion (one was planned but ultimately fell apart).

A year ago I would've been all gun-ho about it.

Right now I'm indiferrent. Probably wouldn't go if one was planned.

I must admit the nosey part of me wants to go and see how all my ole friends have turned out, see wat they have done with their lives and some of the boys who thought they were so hot back in the day .....see wat they are like now.!

I just went to my 20th last month and had an amazing time!

Eye havnt been 2 any reunions due 2 being married 2 a bloody x-wife so jealous she didnt want me meeting anybody else male or female!!!!why did eye let a woman control me back then????O eye no eye was just Dave......Now im DaveTheRave eye wont b controled again!!!!!

Im glad uve made contact with ur old school friends and hope u have nice times with them in the near future..

it is pretty neat how after 20 years +/- , alot of things change ...

some of the hotties became .... well ... diplomatically I will just say "not so hot" ...

but the opposite could be said too - about the "not so hotties" that turned into hotties ....

some of the snotty people became more friendly ...

i think i really liked how alot of the "cliques" just seemed removed .... after a few years , etc ...

I did not go to any reunions since my 10th (which was silly cus i just hung out at the bar and talked the whole time - never even sat down and ate ! )
