I cringe too. But I am ok, I suppose seeing how I did a national commercial. But I can't watch it. (It's not on air anymore). But your ok-I saw you do your prince quiz show-That was fun.

Last night the master was watching a few home movies from 10 years ago, he's transferring them all from DV tape to DVD so we can watch them whenever we want. My hair was so awful! My clothes were awful! WTF! My face can't hide my feelings, omg, you can see exactly what I'm thinking, like if I'm disgusted or appalled

You know, I don't even know where my family videos from ten years ago are. I think my ex might have them. Not sure though.

I hate the ones that have my friends at the time in them. I didn't realize back then that my voice/speech sounded so similar to theirs. It was extremely annoying. I'm glad that shit went away.

Probably but I never sought it out-I can't watch it-I'll cringe. I need to get over that, so I can improve my work-But I don't do to much on screen stuff now. I don't like video or still pics of myself, but I am aware that I look perfectly normal. Nothing to be worried about, just my own hangups getting in my way.

But my voice!? Hells no. I HATE hearing myself recorded in ANY WAY. And I mean hate! I totally freaks me out. I don't even like to hear myself talk WHILE I'm talking.

I just sought it out on you tube and couldn't find it-I tried the tag line and everything (Thank goodness!) . As for the "Top secret" project. That wont see the light of day for 1 year or even 2 years. (I have been involved for 1 year as it is.) Or it may never come out-(although I think it will) It all depends on the powers that be.

Lol, ten years ago I was prepping for fatherhood.

But yeah I looked like that too.

And I like my friends but the way they spoke, which rubbed off on me apparently, annoyed the shit out of me when I looked back on it last. I hated the sound of it. Can't really explain it.

Like Cerebus, I hate my own voice anyway. Just a lot moreso back then.

I can watch myself if it's just a short video and even better if i'm not talking. I cringe at the sound of my voice and if my body is visible I focus on all the bits I don't like.

My sister in law filmed me in a bellydance class on holiday I was impressed with my technique, but JESUS I need to tone up!! I will never watch that again!

I'm awful on video and camera shy, though certainly not as a kid....I can stare at pics anytime though, I'm confident with that, cause I practiced posing for the camera and smiling in ways that look good.

Yeah I can't stand video footage of me. I did some so-called "vlogs" a while back and my voice... I almost thought it was another person. Like "do I really sound like THAT?!" So I just said "fuck it."

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this. I guess you appear differently to how you perceive your projected self image is?

I still remember the first time I heard my voice. I thought I sounded like an idiotic version of Stallone (yes, even more idiotic than poor Sly, lol) . And, you know what? people actually think that my voice is cool, imposing and deep, so go figure

That said, I feel the exact same way when I see myself in stills, let alone video.

Eye have loads of video of me & my son from the age of 1 up 2 8years old,cutting his hair,feeding & bathing him.Trips 2 the zoo/park but eye will never watch them again cuz of how eye look in the footage!!!Just hate seeing myself im the same about photos!!!U can b a realy goodlooking person & still b like that???strange???.

I dunno. Maybe it's b/c we might have an image in one's mind of what we look like and then the reality is painful?

I don't allow myself to be videotaped. I don't want to see.

I go through phases of not letting myself be photographed as well. Sometimes people get annoyed with me over it but I don't care.

I hate it.

Especially when I'm doing some stupid gator dance or something like that and being filmed without my knowledge.
