Eye had an ostrich burger 2day!!!my god it was lovely!Thats a yummy bird!!!!

Emu is also good!

2 Things eye would like 2 try r shark & crocodile ive been told there yummy?

Shark is OK, not my favorite, the flesh is coarse. If you have fish and chips here and order a fish called "flake", shark is what you get. I've had crocodile in a salad and in a pie, both very nice - it must be prepared very carefully, otherwise it's like rubber!

Coarse? The bake and shark I eat in Trinidad is usually really yummie and I would never describe it as coarse drool.

I guess the people at that crocodile farm in South Africa knew more about crocodile protection than about cooking it hmmm. As far as I remember the ostrich part of that dish there tasted okay. Anyway I cannot imagine crocodile tastes nice even if it was prepared better pout.

The sharks we have are ones that like cold water, so I'm sure they taste quite different! I heard the secret to breaking down tough crocodile fibers is to leave it overnight with slices of kiwi fruit between he croc meat slices so the enzymes tenderize it.

In Florida they sometimes serve alligator bits as an Happy Hour/ pub appetizer. They're usually seasoned, battered & fried, and remind me of a hybrid between chicken (in taste) and calamari (in texture). They are surprisingly tasty, though.

excited Just don't bring it to Hop Farm! lol

That might work if we could figure out how to meet up in the car park. It is nice, black & silver. Only a few years old, hubby bought it for me when I moved here because I had to give away the one I had in the US. You will just have to promise to think of me every time you use it. wink

In exchange I promise to send you a jar of marmite every month when you move to Florida. biggrin

Yeah, we'll sort something out. Thanks sweetie! hug
