Well, with the fact that Rock is indeed in the main event at WM 28 and hasn't done shit to advance the Cena vs. Rock storyline since MAYBE his birthday show, I completely understand where Punk's coming from. Here he is busting his ass on a weekly basis, and the Rock comes in for a couple of appearances and automatically gets the main event slot at the next WM. And he (Rock) ain't doin' jack with that in the meantime. He doesn't show up to Raws, PPVs, or anything. At least not yet, but they HAVE to get ppl more interested in the match by not letting them forget that they have a problem with on another.
And Cena and Rock tweeting a couple of things back and forth a couple of times a month does NOT count.

oh shit i forgot about paul's rant at vince ..gotta try and find that on youtube man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

You and me both, bruh!!!! They're REALLY trying to make it look like he's actually suspended or no longer going to be working there, even before MITB. I'll give them that much!
And I had forgotten all about that Heyman promo on Vince on Smackdown (I think). Now that shit was indeed the truth too!!
I wonder what's happening now for the Raw tapings for next week.... *goes off to find some spoilers*

Punk's promo was definitely the best worked shoot of all-time. When he started mentioning ROH, Colt Cabana, and NJPW, I got as giddy as a school girl!
Raw has a double taping tonight, so I've already read the spoilers. All I can say is stay tuned!
Getting back to Punk, I definitely agree with a lot of what he said. Especially when he went after Stephanie McMahon and Johhny "Ace" Laurinaitis! The 2 of them are the main reason why the WWE is the way it is today. JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!

I just read the spoilers, and indeed it was just as I said. A work. A greatly played one, though. I hope there's a huge payoff to this whole thing. I mean, WWE has a rep for having stories and matches handed to them on a silver platter, only to fuck them up in the end.
Minor spoiler:
I can't stand Cena sometimes!!!! He had to go ruin what was a great "real fan's" moment (Punk's promo), and fuck it up with his input and "stamp of approval". Arrrggghhh!

Here's The Entire Transcript of CM Punk's Promo on WWE Monday Night Raw!
The Controversial WWE Superstar Delivers The Most Shocking Shoot Promo in Years!
Thanks to several of our HUSTLETWEETERS who transcribed CM PUNK's amazing shoot promo from WWE Monday Night Raw just two hours ago! John Cena, while you lay there, hopefully as uncomfortable as you possibly can be, I want you to listen to me.
I don’t hate you, John. I don’t even dislike you. I do like you. I like you a hell of a lot more than I like most people in the back. I hate this idea that you’re the best. Because you’re not. I’m the best. I’m the best in the world. There’s one thing you’re better at than I am and that’s kissing Vince McMahon’s ass. You’re as good as kissing Vince McMahon’s ass as Hulk Hogan was. I don’t know if you’re as good as Dwayne though. He’s a pretty good ass kisser. Always was and still is. Whoops! I’m breaking the fourth wall! (Punk waves to the camera) I am the best wrestler in the world.
I’ve been the best since day one when I walked into this company. And I’ve been vilified and hated since that day because Paul Heyman saw something in me that nobody else wanted to admit. That’s right, I’m a Paul Heyman guy. You know who else was a Paul Heyman guy? Brock Lesnar. And he split just like I’m splitting. But the biggest difference between me and Brock is I’m going to leave with the WWE Championship.
I’ve grabbed so many of Vincent K. McMahon’s brass rings that it’s finally dawned on me that there just that, they’re completely imaginary. The only thing that’s real is me and the fact that day in and day out, for almost six years, I have proved to everybody in the world that I am the best on this microphone, in that ring, even in commentary! Nobody can touch me!
And yet no matter how many times I prove it, I’m not on your lovely little collector cups. I’m not on the cover of the program. I’m barely promoted. I don't get to be in movies. I’m certainly not on any crappy show on the USA Network. I’m not on the poster of WrestleMania. I’m not on the signature that’s produced at the start of the show. I’m not on Conan O’Brian. I’m not on Jimmy Fallon. But the fact of the matter is, I should be.
This isn’t sour grapes. But the fact that Dwayne is in the main event at WrestleMania next year and I’m not makes me sick!
Oh hey, let me get something straight. Those of you who are cheering me right now, you are just as big a part of me leaving as anything else. Because you’re the ones who are sipping on those collector cups right now. You’re the ones that buy those programs that my face isn’t on the cover of. And then at five in the morning at the airport, you try to shove it in my face and get an autograph and try to sell it on Ebay because you’re too lazy to go get a real job.
I’m leaving with the WWE Championship on July 17th. And hell, who knows, maybe I’ll go defend it in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Maybe…I’ll go back to Ring of Honor. (Punk looks at the camera and waves) Hey, Colt Cabana, how you doing?
The reason I’m leaving is you people. Because after I’m gone, you’re still going to pour money into this company. I’m just a spoke on the wheel. The wheel is going to keep turning and I understand that. Vince McMahon is going to make money despite himself. He’s a millionaire who should be a billionaire. You know why he’s not a billionaire? Because he surrounds himself with glad-handed, non-sensical, douchebag (censored) yes men, like John Laurinaitis, who’s going to tell him everything he wants to hear, and I’d like to think that maybe this company will better after Vince McMahon is dead. But the fact is, it’s going to be taken over by his idiotic daughter and his doofus son-in-law and the rest of his stupid family.
Let me tell you a personal story about Vince McMahon alright. We do this whole (anti) bully campaign Mic cut off.

- Sources report that CM Punk's entire promo at the end of RAW this week was improvised by Punk and not scripted. Nobody in the back knew what Punk was going to say until he said it live on RAW. "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

CM punk was good. WWE didn’t know what he was going to say they told him just say what you want.

Okay, I thought Punk's contract ended in August or September? That's what's been reported for the last few months. Now, all of a sudden, it was over BEFORE July 17, with an extension, even, to take it to the 17th? Now THAT sounds like bullshit.
The part about him not having a script and being told to tell his true feelings I definitely feel was true. They were definitely prepared for if his promo went "overboard" because they showed the ending Raw logo at 11:00 instead right as it fades to black. So, in case they had to pull it off the air, they still filled their copyright mark obligations.
Either way, after reading the spoilers, I hope this doesn't turn Punk to a complete face. I'm sure he's garnered a shitload of new admirers/fans just from that promo alone, but the only time I want him to be a true face is in his hometown of Chicago at MITB.

CM Punk Suspended: Wrestlers Discuss Punk’s ‘Shoot’ Promo (Updated)If you haven’t heard, CM Punk gave a version of a shoot interview that was actually approved by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon as a way of getting buzz around the watercooler for the company heading into the Money in the Bank pay-per-view in mid-July, and a take at a real-life contract dispute by Punk and WWE over whether he will extend his contract with the company after it ends on Monday, July 18. Below are recent tweets from various former and current WWE stars and other wrestlers in regards to Punk’s promo last night.
Stone Cold Steve Austin: “@CMPunk just melted my 52 inch TV with a scorching hot promo…delivery, content, and attitude…one of the best promos I’ve ever seen.”
Shawn Michaels: “2 words 4 @CMPunk- thata boy. Felt like old times. Anywho, back 2 my normal life, tweet u on touchdown:-)”
Jim Ross: “Most compelling, controversial end of Raw in a long time. @cmpunk edgy, attitudinal & full of rage. Don’t know what to think. Wow.”
Mick Foley: “I have no idea where this @cmpunk thing might go, but I know I’ll be watching. Captivating stuff.”
Joey Styles: “Holy crap! I thought I was bad when I was shooting on Vince and the company. OMG! Holy crap!”
Billy Corgan: “@CMPunk that may have been the GREATEST promo i have ever seen…to paraphrase Paul E, ‘you sir, are f’n hardcore’…”
Taz: “Punk did a great job & I always liked him when we were in wwe together and his work! But I must say… There r many of us who were NEVER pushed to the level Punk was & were NEVER allowed to shoot like that, he’s lucky he was allowed to do that. But it was very strong & real!! I liked a lot! Good stuff Punk!”
Colt Cabana: “Colt Cabana’s Trending but @CMPunk should legit trend FOREVER. Coolest thing on wrestling since 1998. Can’t believe theyre gonna let’m walk”
Chris Jericho: “Congrats to @cmpunk and Vince McMahon for doing something tonight that hasn’t been done in awhile…make history.”
Daniel Bryan: “With revolution dripping off his lips with every word, @CMPunk was a god last night.”
Chavo Guerrero: “Did u see @CmPunk promo last night? WOW! If all those things are being said by a guy being used…think how I feel! Good Job Punk!”
Maryse: “@CMPunk for President of the United-States….”
Todd Grisham: “Punk came unhinged tonight. Never seen anything like it in my 8 years @WWE”
JBL: “CM Punk’s promo-shoot or work? Who cares? When you are so good that you can put that doubt in viewers minds you have done your job very well”
MVP: “My verdict after watching the @CMPunk promo, he just had his Austin 3:16 moment. Don’t f–k this one up WWE”

@chavo's tweet/comments ..yeah he should feel that way since he was just released
whether it's a promo cut or those were punk's true feelings ..THAT SHIT WAS RAW!! man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Yeah, and I noticed Punk hasn't tweeted anything since before Raw on Monday. On any normal day, he's usually tweeted SOMETHING by now. So, he's laying low because of the afterbuzz, and that's why I think his leaving is one big ass storyline. I think he really re-signed on the low. But, that's just me.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
and it's this type of buzz that pisses me off that the brands have gone their seperate ways. back in the day whatever happend on Raw carried over 2 smackdown. THIS is the type of storyline that needs 2 continue onto smackdown intead of waiting a full week for RAW.
BAD MOVE THERE VINCE man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Smackdown is almost like a developmental territory to me. If you notice, most of the wrestlers being called up from FCW usually go to SD. Then, if the crowd really takes to them and they're successful, they move them to Raw.
They should just have it like it was back in the day. There's not enough talent to warrant two exclusive brands anymore. They can still have two championships if they want to, but just end the whole draft idea and let storylines freely flow. What's stupid is that they're actually unofficially doing it with letting non-champion SD guys just waltz onto Raw at any ol' time and vice versa. But they're still holding onto the show exclusivity.
Time to give it up, Vince. But he's got too much of an ego to do it.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
very well noted cause it's amazing how someone from smackdown shows up on RAW when they should be on smackdown exclusive. like sin cara is he on raw or smackdown? wth? if smackdown is the developmental program it can be looked at people like orton are the top draw people so the arena is sold.
oh speaking of which there is a WWE event heading my way that is scheduled for the week after the next PPV and they are advertising a match randy orton vs christian 4 the title with bret hart as the special guest referee man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81
