My co worker has a wrestling event coming up with Ricky Morton in July. I told him to please let me see the dvd when he's finished. He let me hold one with him and his boys wrestling against Jimmy the boogie woogie man Valiant and two others and it's clear that Jimmy Valiant just did it because retirement is boring. Oh, so NOW they wanna admit some fault with the voting system, huh? Lol! "Something went wrong with the voting!". Well duh! No one in the world would want to choose Mason Ryan to fight Evan Bourne. Not even Mason's momma! Though, to say the system got overload because of ALL the votes it was getting sounds like more of the B.S. propaganda they spew every week about how "popular" they are, especially on Twitter, Facebook, and in the ratings. Here's one they might use: "The WWE had more viewers last week tuned to Raw than ANY other program in the history of shows aired on the USA Network from between 9:00 and 11:00 pm since June 6, 2011!!!"
At least we get the Bourne vs. Cara match next week, though it's probably gonna be Botchfest 2011: The Summer Tour.

Text Voting Inaccurate in Raw's Power to the PeopleWWE would like to apologize for technical difficulties that occurred during the “Power to the People” edition of Raw on Monday night.
The interactive event aimed to give the WWE Universe the ability to choose what they wanted to see on their television screens. Unfortunately, uncontrollable difficulties created by an influx of heavy voting traffic resulted in not every one of the more-than 697,000 recorded votes to be properly counted.
During Monday’s Raw broadcast, WWE fans were given the option to text A, B or C to 46993 (GOWWE) in order to decide what they wanted to happen on the show. Things went perfectly at first when text votes selected Kelly Kelly (option B) to take on Brie Bella for the Divas Championship. However, our vote tabulating provider’s system became overwhelmed, causing these votes to definitively affect the following contest, in which Mason Ryan (also option B) was voted into a match against Evan Bourne — even though, as it was later discovered, Sin Cara had received 90 percent of the total votes in WWE.com's Live Chat poll, and should have been Bourne's opponent.
Votes for the third poll’s bout — Kane vs. Mark Henry in an Arm Wrestling Contest — were counted correctly. However, problems began to occur again during the next poll determining a match stipulation between United States Champion Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston. At this point, so many text votes were received that the system overloaded, crashed and had to be restarted. With little information to work from, WWE management selected to follow the system’s earliest projections, which determined that the 2-out-of-3 Falls Match had been the people’s choice. It was not until later that it was discovered that “Vickie Guerrero Banned from Ringside” was actually the top vote getter.
Restarting the tabulating system allowed for things to run smoothly with the voting for the Triple Threat Match to determine a No. 1 contender for the WWE Championship going off without a hitch. Regrettably, technical difficulties occurred once more leading up to the night’s Six-Man Tag Team Match main event, when it became apparent to WWE management that text votes were again not being tabulated properly. At this time, a decision was made to turn to WWE.com’s Live Chat Poll for the official judgment. With the power still in the hands of the people, the WWE Universe selected the Elimination Match (option C) by an overwhelming 87 percent, leading to this stipulation being enacted.
In light of these unfortunate technical problems, WWE apologizes to our fans, Superstars and Divas affected by this situation. Furthermore, to make it up to you, the WWE Universe, high-flyers Evan Bourne and Sin Cara will meet in the ring, live next Monday night on Raw! [Edited 6/22/11 10:20am]

This shouldn't surprise you. Shane Helms have always dissed Shawn Michaels for being a fake "Christian" because Shawn gets a joy in hunting & killing animals.

and i wonder why the chose john lennon's power 2 the people instead of public enemy song of the same name? man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

More like every week.
But, I'm reading that supposedly Vince does NOT rig the votes and that he vehemently believes in following whatever the actuals votes call for (e.g. Cyber Sunday, Taboo Tuesday, Viewers' Choice, etc...). This was according to Chris Jericho. Whether I truly believe it or not is a whole nother story.

but there has got 2 be a outline of how the match will turn out etc man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Like Vince is gonna expect me to believe he's fair and balanced.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
According the Jim Cornette, Vince knows exactly how the rig the votes. All it takes is 4 WWE employees (Michael P.S. Hayes being one of them) to call and vote for a specific results that Vince and/or the staff writers have already written.

Vince once screwed Wendi Ritchers & Bret Hart. So why not expect him to screw the fans as well?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Oh yeah, definitely. The choices probably all have the same result; just some of the details are changed to fit the match for whatever stipulation is chosen.
But how can anyone really think the shit isn't rigged when they got a championship being won by the winner of the vote in the match? Case in point, Kelly Kelly beating the Bella girl. They for damn sure don't go in and say, "Whoever the fans vote for, they're going to take the title off of your hands." They definitely had it planned for her to win the title cuz she's they're most over active Diva right now.
Anyway, as much as I love Shawn - as he's my ALL time favorite wrestler - I'm definitely gonna pass on his little hunting show he's got coming out and gonna be promoting on Raw next week. The whole hunting shtick got on my nerves for that last DX home video, "One Last Stand". But still, it's nice to see him again on Raw, though it'd be nice if he got involved in storylines again. Not wrestling again, mind you (though I wouldn't protest too loudly if he did), but something that'll utilize his talent on the stick.

Yep, sho' 'nuff.
And apparently, he was trying to screw with Zack Ryder too by not putting him on Raw last week when they were in Long Island. They were chanting his name during random matches and everything. But Vince didn't wanna give in. I read they pulled a trick on him by making him think he had a slot on the show with a match and a promo, only to tell him close to when it came time that it was all a rib. Now THAT'S fucked up!
It's amazing the following he's been able to amass after not even being on TV at all and with just his YouTube show. He's working his ass off, I'll give him that.

Going to back to what Paul Heyman was saying with the legends in TNA, in the original ECW he brought quite a lot of legends to work for ECW in the beginning and throughout its duration, and built the company around Terry Funk when ECW was still in it's early beginnings too. But he did make new stars like the Public Enemy, Sabu, Taz, The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, The Pitbulls, The Gangstas, The Dudleyz, RVD, Mikey Whipwreck amongst others. He also repackaged guys like Johnny Polo/Scotty Flamingo (although I think the Raven character was his idea) and made Cactus and Shane Douglas into bigger names. Another good thing ECW did was spotlight the whole crusierweight division with Rey, Psichosis, Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit which then helped WCW. I think Paul E could have turned round TNA and made it into a competitor to WWE, however, what made ECW succeed was that it was cutting edge and they pushed the envelope with a more adult 'product' and storylines like Raven/Sandman which couldn't really be done today on TV.
As for Zack Ryder, historically WWE like to push guys who they have a direct hand in making stars. Zack's building a following on his own, which is why they aren't pushing him. Although it would make logical sense for WWE to buy into what the fans want and put Ryder on TV.

I love how we keep ranting about WWE but we still watching it lol I keep telling myself I’m going to stop but I ‘m so used to watching it. Overall I’ll turn on WWE but I will tune in and out it’s watching me instead of me watching it , sometimes it feel like the storylines are going to get good then it’s down the toilet again. Just crazy how WWE lost its spark it only gets interesting when the legends make an appearance the new wrestlers just don’t have the charisma.

without a doubt she only got that title cause of popularity and not because of ring skills man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

when it's the only game in town per se and the only competiton comes on only once a week and isn't really forging ahead strong 2 make a run at WWE it's why the WWE gets away with what it does. the whole Nitro vs RAW war is what lit a fire up vince's ass, now he can just coast man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

That is true you would think since their ratings are not like it used to be someone would get inspired to create a better show but I guess not. What is interesting to me is how alot of the WWE wrestlers leave and join TNA then come back.

lol ..there was a segment with mr anderson tho i love him more as mr kennedy but he was telling a story of how he was denied 2 rise up further in WWE and did a spot on imitation of triple h indicating it was him that got into vince's ear 2 stop his growth. u see it a lot with some of the wrestlers that u may feel has poetential then u don't hear from them again for whatever backstage politics that are going on.
tna has some good wrestlers but some of the legends steal more of the spotlight. but their womens division would fucking kill the divas lol man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I don't think the TNA Knockouts are better than the WWE Divas anymore. The days of Gail Kim, Awesome Kong, Hamada, and Alissa Flash are over.
They've been replaced with chicks like Miss Tessmacher and Velvet Sky.
Although, Mickie James as champion is a lot better than Kelly Kelly as champion. JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!

She straight up went to the WWE for the money. I don't blame her, either 'cause TNA doesn't pay their knockouts shit. Hell, as Knockouts Champion, Taylor Wilde was working at Sunglass Hut.
They don't pay their midcard guys much of anything either, since Jesse Neal is apparently on Food Stamps.
It's disgusting that TNA apparently can't afford to pay their talent well enough to keep the off government assistence, or pay their female wrestlers anything at all, but they always seem to find the cash to pay guys like Hogan, and Bischoff their salaries.
They also found the cash to pay fucking J-Woww and Jenna Morasca more money per appearance than a lot of what the knockouts were making for the whole year!
