Jeremiah from Tough Enough goes the hell off!!!!! Lol! This dude's got one hell of an ego, but I appreciate his moxie for at least standing up for himself.

Jeremiah Riggs is a good dude with a bad attitude

ATO caught up with Jeremiah Riggs earlier today and talked to him about what he’s been doing since he was on WWE Tough Enough this Spring. What started out as a routine interview quickly became a platform for Riggs to get everything off his chest about what’s been going on with his attempt at becoming a WWE Superstar.

I was informed yesterday that the WWE isn’t going to use me.

Two weeks ago I was invited to go to Tampa to tryout for FCW and from what they gathered they loved my personality but they said I was only average in the ring and said I have a bad attitude and carried myself like I had something to prove. I told them that if I’m average I’m doing pretty damn good considering I had only done this for two months. If I can get to average in several weeks imagine what I can do in a few months. And of course I’m eager to prove myself. I was surrounded by guys who had done this for several years and they were all wondering who this new rookie was. I had to show them I belonged.

If I’m average the pecking order starts behind me. Compared to me none of those guys are as cut up as me. My physique puts them to shame. Maybe I do have a bad attitude. I don’t give a f–k. I went on their TV show and ran circles around everybody with no experience. Andy wasn’t the star of the show. I was. Hell I won challenges they didn’t even show on TV. I got all the camera time and I got the biggest reaction when I was on RAW. You know why? It’s because I’m me. I’m not a clone or a sell out. People recognize that. That’s why CM Punk is so hot right now. He is his character. He’s just being himself. But I do it and I have a bad attitude.

John Morrison was there at FCW and he walked up to me and shook my hand and told me that he thought I won the show. Just about all the guys said that. Ted DiBiase told me I won it too. His dad, the Million Dollar Man asked me why I wasn’t on TV. John Cena even tweeted me saying he thought I won.

The third day I was there I was doing promos and the only direction I got was to have fun with it and they would send it up to Vince for him to see. One guy did a promo about having sex with a goat and one of the girls was really nasty with hers so I went out there with all guns blazing. I cussed on my first one and said I wish Vince McMahon would’ve slapped me because I would’ve kicked him in the nuts. They pulled me aside and told me I couldn’t cuss. So on my next one I decided to really have fun with it. I didn’t cuss but I did a promo about how I couldn’t cuss and counted on my hand how many words I wasn’t allowed to say as I said them to myself then threw the mic over my shoulder and laughed as I walked off. I thought it was hilarious. All the boys did too. Just about everyone there told me they had never seen anything like that. I was doing crazy CM Punk stuff before he made it cool.

After that I got called to the back and Dusty Rhodes jumped on me and told me I couldn’t do that and chewed me out. He went to walk away and I told him to get back over here because I wasn’t done talking to him. He walked back over and I thought he was going to piss in his pants because he was acting so nervous. I told him that I would do whatever they wanted me to do but no one said I couldn’t cuss or throw the mic. I was just having fun with it and being me. I think it kind of threw him off because no one there stood up for themselves. I wasn’t going to let anyone walk all over me. I said what I had to say and we were cool. A lot of the boys thought I got sent home and were surprised when I came back the following day. They were even more surprised when Dusty went out of his way to walk over to me and shake my hand. I’m going to stand up for myself and I think they are afraid of that.

90% of those guys are vanilla. They are all the same. Long hair, pony tail, boring as can be. The day I left Tampa I shaved my head because I didn’t want to be anything like them. I’m Jeremiah Riggs from Vicksburg, Mississippi. I’m not going to be a clone. All of their promos sounded the same. They are boring and play it safe. People are afraid of the truth. What do they want in a superstar? I don’t need a character. I’m Jeremiah Riggs. I don’t need a new name or gimmick. The WWE has a shitty developmental roster. No one stands out. They are all scared of failure and half of them have been there for years. They are all the same and do the same stuff. Sure, they have a few guys that have potential but they are all clones. But I’m not going to be just like everybody else. What are they going to do send me home? You can’t scare someone who ain’t afraid.

Johnny Curtis told me a lot of the boys didn’t like me because I was doing the stuff they wish they could do but were too afraid because they were all kissing ass trying to get ahead.

The day I got there they pulled me in the office and asked me what I wanted out of the business and I told them I wanted to make money. I told them I don’t have to be in the WWE to be happy. I told them I wasn’t going to kiss their ass and tell them it’s been my lifelong dream because it hasn’t. I want to make money to support my family and give them the life they deserve. I told them I wasn’t here to be at the bottom of the card and make hillbilly money. I would do whatever it takes to get to the top. I looked at it like a week’s vacation in Tampa on the WWE. If they didn’t see it in me I told them I’d shake their hand and leave. And yesterday when I was told the WWE wasn’t going to sign me I thanked them for the opportunity.

By the end of my week there Dr. Tom (Pritchard) liked me. He told me he got it and I’m just being me. He kept saying “I’m Jeremiah Riggs from Mississippi and I’ll whip your ass. I don’t give a f–k.” He’s right. I’m not going to change or be something I’m not. He said he used to be a lot that and saw a lot of himself in me.

I’ve had offers from other promotions and I have had offers to go back to MMA. Hell I turned down a good paying fight after I came off Tough Enough because I wanted to give the WWE a shot. I would like to pursue pro wrestling because I think I showed in the short time I was on the show that I could be very good at it.

I’ve been a fighter and a had a good career. I won 5 straight and fought for Bellator and Strikeforce. I was on the Ultimate Fighter a few years ago. I’ve been on reality TV like David Otunga. I’m marketable. Who has all the Twitter followers? Did you hear the pop I got on RAW during the finale? I got a bigger reaction than Luke or Andy. The Miz told me I hit a homerun when I said ‘I’m from the Dirty South’ in Atlanta when I was on RAW the night the show debuted. Cena even walked up and shook my hand and said ‘Great Job’. CM Punk shook my hand to and said ‘Way to Go’. People know I’m real and what you see is what you get. I’m an entertainer but I’m no sellout. That night on RAW the only guy who got a bigger ovation than me was Steve Austin. He’s a Hall of Famer and I’m just in the hall.

What made Steve Austin, The Rock, and CM Punk such big superstars? They speak their mind and buck the system. I know this may hurt my chances of ever making it in the WWE but what are they gonna do? Fire me? They aren’t ready for someone like me.

It’s all politics at FCW. People are real phony there including the trainers. Me and Bill were cool on the show. I heard he got a job as a scout for the WWE and I was glad to hear he was doing good for himself. He deserves it after so long in the business. When I was in Tampa doing my match with Orlov Bill was praising me and talking about how good I was doing. I was doing stuff that Luke and Andy couldn’t do, on the first try. But when I walked into FCW a few weeks ago he acted like he was too cool to talk to me.

He’s changed man. He thinks he is somebody because he was the big man on the show. I guess Hollywood went to his head. Sure he had a mediocre wrestling career and found new life on Tough Enough. I don’t give a shit. I’ll whoop his fat ass. He’s no better than me. If I was to shoot on him who is going to stop me? Andy sure as hell ain’t. I’ve rolled with some badass heavyweights like Jon Madsen and Scott Barrett. Seriously, what is Bill DeMott going to do to me? All he could do about it is write another chapter in his sorry book about how he got run over by Big Rigg when he gets his arm out of the cast. I lost all respect for Bill. If he only knew what the boys say about his fat lazy ass he wouldn’t even come to work. I’m sure he will read this and put something on Twitter about it. I don’t care. He might have Twitter muscles but I’m the real deal. He said I was green? The only thing green on me was the shit stain on my boot I stuck up his ass.

Hell, Andy the dude that won the WWE contract is a big pussy too. He is still in FCW. He’ll be in FCW the rest of his life. He had a developmental contract with the WWE before the damn show aired. He’s boring and a big f—ing baby. He cried the whole time we were doing the show about his wife and his kid. He did it all for pity. We pity the weak.

I got a little boy at home but you got to make sacrifices if you want to make something of yourself. I thought about my little boy the whole time we were shooting but I didn’t whine about it. I used it as fuel. I want the best for him so I had to step it up and show them I belonged.

Earlier this year my mom had heart surgery. My dad is deployed right now and is overseas so I’m supposed to take care of things on the farm. Her surgery was actually the week before my last fight. I should’ve backed out and stayed at home but that’s not how I do things. I drove to Nashville and trained for a few days before the fight when I should’ve have an 8 week camp and still got the win. I fought on January 29th in Nashville and on February 2nd the people from Tough Enough were at my house in Vicksburg filming behind the scenes stuff. Two days later I was flying to Los Angeles for 5 weeks. Now talk to me about sacrificing.

I’m not trying to run down everyone from the WWE. I have a lot of respect for John Cena, Triple H, the Miz and all the guys who were cool to me and took time to help me out. Hell, Ted DiBiase is one of my real good friends. I really enjoyed working with Dr. Tom and Ricky Steamboat at FCW. Even though Dusty and I got into it I think he’s a legend and a pretty cool cat. Steve Austin is like a big brother to me. Same with Booker T. I love those guys.

Things are still looking up for me. I still get offers to wrestle and fight all the time. People know who I am. If you want to hit me up I’m on Twitter @JeremiahRiggs. I’m maxed out on friends on Facebook but I do have a fan page. If you have interest in booking me hit up my manager allen@mmamonsterfactory.com. The WWE thing was a speed bump. I’m still gonna go 100 miles an hour and you hadn’t seen the last of me. It ain’t personal. It’s all business.

Damn he put it all out there with guns blazing! but I can see why they didn't like him lol It sounds like he burned a couple of bridges and he probably burned more with this blog lol

I do agree with him on Andy. He's lame and I don't see him making a big impact. Matter of fact, why didn't they just have people who've been in FCW do Tough Enough? It's kinda a slap in the face, isn't it? There's people in FCW who have wallowing in development for years but these guys who have no experience and some who don't have any interest in the business get a shot on this show?

yeah i've never understood why the talent in FCW aren't utilized for shows like tough enough or nxt

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Here's an interesting opinion of Johnny Laurinaitas from Jim Cornette, though it's about a couple of years old. Nevertheless, it's still valid. I NEVER cared for him in the VP of Talent Relations role because in all the years he's had the job since JR was in the position, he really hasn't brought anyone in that was worth a damn, and if he did, they were let go. CM Punk was about his "greatest" signing.

I always thought NXT was the show to "help" out the FCW guys. I think, like you said, that's indeed a slap in the face for the viewing public that they have a reality show for people wanting to work for WWE, and they hire people who actually already have a developmental contract with them. They pretended like everybody was a fresh face from off the street, and that's the part I never liked.

He sounds like he's his biggest mark by all the name dropping he did. "Cena, Morrison, Punk, Steamboat, DiBiase, and everybody else came up to me to say I should've won!" Oh give me a break. And, he had Dusty Rhodes almost about to pee in his pants?? Yeah, okay dude. Sure you did. He told him to get ass his back over to him and talk because he wasn't finished talking to him yet?? He supposedly spoke like that to a HOF veteran like Dusty??? Riiight. As great a read as this was, he needs to sit his ass down some place. lol

The WWE doesn't want to risk having a possible cancer like him in the locker room, and his attitude is probably what ultimatly did him in. It wasn't because he wasn't "cookie cutter", but just because he seems like he thinks he's hot shit.

And don't forget he himself looked generic and it felt like they didn't really give a damn about the business. I remember that first episode where as soon as Austin left, they were partying, drinking and acting stupidly, relaxing in the hot tub. It was definitely a slap in the face of the FCW guys. Guys who are struggling financially even though they're signed to a development deal, and these lames are taking it for granted, staying in this huge house and getting TV time. Most of the Tough Enough people just weren't good.

And again about the FCW people, think about who's down there. Yokozuna's son, Ricky Steamboat's son, Ted Dibiase's other kid, Eddy and Vicki's daughter. There's a crapload of 2nd generation kids down there and other people who probably have loads of talent just WAITING to be called up. Hell, send Otunga back down there and call someone else up lol

SMACKDOWN SPOILERS (to be aired on 8/5):

Dark Match: Wade Barrett beat Colt Cabana. Very entertaining for a dark match. Cabana was pinned after Wasteland.

Superstars SPOILERS 8/4:

(1) Alicia Fox beat Kaitlyn in 6:00 with her scissors kick.

(2) Brodus Clay beat Silva in a squash match. About three-to-four minutes.

Smackdown SPOILERS 8/5:

Smackdown started right away with Sheamus vs. Great Khali and an announcement of Sheamus vs. Mark Henry at Summerslam.

(1) Sheamus beat Great Khali. Khali dominated the early portion of the match, and Sheamus eventually won with the Brogue Kick. Not as bad as you'd think.

(2) Natalya beat A.J. via submission with the Sharpshooter. Natalya then turned heel with a post-match attack on A.J. ringside. She said "Beth Phoenix, I'm with you. The days of cute Divas are over."

Ryder with a State of the Showski address to come later.

(3)Daniel Bryan debuts a new theme song before facing Tyson Kidd. Daniel Bryan beat Tyson Kidd via submission. Wade Barrett was on commentary. Kidd put Bryan in the Sharpshooter, but Bryan caused a rope break, then caused Kidd to submit.

Ryder came out to address the crowd, and Ezekiel Jackson came out to question Ryder about the handicap match last week. Rhodes and DiBiase came out. Ryder tried to book Jackson vs. DiBiase, but Teddy Long came out and said to Ryder, "You are not asst. general manager. You are my assistant. Instead of making a match, you are in one vs. Jackson with Cody and DiBiase banned from ringside."

(4) Intercontinental champion Ezekiel Jackson beat Zack Ryder in a non-title match. Four-minute match.

Backstage, Teddy Long was seduced by NXT 3's Aksana, now with dark hair.

During a commercial, Triple H came out to relieve some stress by Pedigreeing Zack Ryder.

(5) Mark Henry squashed Vladimir Kozlov. Afterward, he crushed Kozlov's leg, but Sheamus came out to prevent further punishment.

Backstage, Sheamus cut a promo on Mark Henry ahead of their Summerslam match.

(6) WWE tag champions New Nexus (Michael McGillicutty & David Otunga) & JTG beat The Usos and Trent Barreta in a six-man tag match. Quick match.

Johnny Curtis debuts on Smackdown...next week! The "writing is on the wall," he said.

World Hvt. champion Christian was interviewed about Randy Orton when R-Truth came in to talk about conspiracies.

(7) World Hvt. champion Christian & R-Truth beat Randy Orton & John Morrison when Christian pinned Orton. Decent main event.

Post-taping Dark Match: World Hvt. champion Christian beat Randy Orton in a Street Fight to retain the World Title. The usual post-show finish with Cody and Ted distracting Orton to give Christian the win via spear. To close out the show, Randy eventually hit the RKO on the heels.

and natalya and beth :threesome: i'm so with u both! now we just need gail kim 2 get some shine and take out these fake divas

but back 2 some seriousness business, orton's promo ..snooze fest...wtf was shamus even talking about? and ezekel needs 2 work on his mic skills i almost thought i was listening 2 mike tyson for a second.

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Now it all makes sense. I've wondered for years how this guy had such a long run in All Japan Pro.

How this guy was exposed to all he was exposed to (when he was in All Japan was during the height of Misawa's incredible run) and seemingly not know shit about "wrestling" is just ridiculous.

Man, they sacked a LOT of talent on Friday!! Including the mother of Blasian babies, Gail Kim. sad Actually, according to her Twitter, she said that she QUIT this past Monday, but I guess it took this long for the process to be done. Hmmm....so, that's why she rolled out of the ring in less than a minute in that battle royale! LMAO!!

But what's funny is she kept defending herself all week long on Twitter when people were saying she was trying to get fired or wanted to quit by doing that. Hell, "someone" start a Twitter petition to get the WWE to treat the Divas more seriously, and it ONLY specifically mentioned Gail and Melina. Sounds like some of the sour grapes is what got Melina got, in the words of my boy R-Truth.

Either way, the WWE on Friday also future endeavored Melina, Vladmir Kozlov, Chris Masters (who's still on their Summerslam commercial, LOL), and DH Smith (who cares???).

In the words of the Undertaker, may their careers REST....IN...PEACE!!

Yeah man, they fired my baby mama #2! sad Well, as she puts it, she quit on Monday, so who the hell knows.

Alex DUI-ley can eat a bag of baby dicks for all I care. They're keeping Odunga cuz of his wife/girlfriend, and ONLY that. They're keeping McGillishitty because they feel bad about what happened to his pops, and so they're helping the fam out by giving his son this undeserved spot on the roster. The Bellend Twins are there purely for their looks (which I can't argue with right now), and Cole - you already know - ain't goin' any damn where, unfortunately. He's so damn annoying though. He comes across as a geek who's trying so hard to be the bad guy, and I'm just not buying it. It just gets annoying, period.

They should've fired the ENTIRE Nexus/Corre crew except for Justin Gabriel, Wade Barrett, and Daniel Bryan. Everyone else from that God forsaken angle should've been hit the bricks! And, any of the dudes who are new and on NXT, they probably should be let go too or at least sent back down to Florida. In fact, they need to make OVW their developmental territory again and just fuck FCW altogether!

She ain't goin' to Japan. I can tell you that much. Especially since her fiance (ugh!!!!) works on the show "Dinner Impossible" on the Food Network. I'm sure she won't go to Ring Of Honor or Chikara, either. So, TNA it is!

L4OA, I need your help to...*ahem*...stomp out the competition. We can run a black hoodie operation. Here's what the lucky bastard looks like:

So, are you in, my brutha?? lol

I wanna take a minute to talk about probably my favorite wrestler in the WWE, Bryan Danielson a.k.a. Daniel Bryan.

I've been a fan of his for years, and I'm glad to see him doing his thing in the 'E and being successful at it.

I marked out like a little girl when he won the Money in the Bank Briefcase!

Unfortunately, my joy was short lived because I was going on the message board and there seems to be a sizeable group of people who think he's either gonna be the 1st guy to cash in and lose, or have the briefcase taken away from him completely like what happened Mr. Kennedy.

I really hope the WWE doesn't do anything stupid and have him lose the briefcase. Especially to someone who he's more over than like Wade Barrett or Cody Rhodes.

I don't really have a problem with him being the 1st guy to cash in and lose. Somebody's got to be that guy. I wouldn't mind him having a great match at Wrestlemania or something like that and coming up just short.

He's probably the best worker in the WWE, I think he deserves a chance to succeed.

Now, let me bring up my least favorite part about Daniel Bryan's matches... MICHAEL COLE'S COMMENTARY!!!

For the love of God, will somebody shut him the fuck up?!?

His ranting and raving during Daniel's matches completely take away from what's happening in the ring!

On Smackdown Friday Night, there was a pretty damn good wrestling match between Bryan and Tyson Kidd, but you wouldn't know it because the commentary was so fucking distracting!

Every 5 seconds Cole's yelling some nonsense about Bryan being a "Nerd", or "Boring", or harping on him not owning a TV.

It's always been irritating, but now it's detracting from the product.

Then you add in Booker T rambling about "D-Bryan getting paid", his "Fave Five", and "Sidewalk Slams". There's just a lot of yelling and crosstalk that made me wanna leave the room watching it on TV!

I think poor Wade Barrett got only 3 words in on guest commentary dealing with those clowns!

Something's gotta be done with the horrible commentary in the WWE!

JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!

Well, ppl only feel Bryan will not be successful because no one, besides maybe Kennedy, actually set out a date so far away for when they're going to cash their contract in. And no one believes that it's going to just sit around and NOT be used or talked about for 8 whole months. I actually think he'll probably be challenged for it and actually retain it for his WM match OR he'll change his mind and cash it in sooner unexpectedly because he wanted to give his opponents a false sense of security. Come to think of it, I think I like that option better. And it's not like he has to do a heel turn to do it, either.

As far as the commentary, I really dig Booker because he's funny as hell. Cole, on the other had, fucks up BOTH shows with his "talk over people" bullshit commentary. He's trying WAAAAAAY too hard to be that heel announcer, and it's just not jiving. When he was being that heel "performer", he was getting "get the fuck off my TV" heat and not "I hate you because you're so good at being bad" heat, and I couldn't stand his segments then. Now, he's just doing on the mic solely and in interview segments. Highly annoying. He doesn't even let JR get a word in, and there's no reason why he has to be a part of BOTH shows. JR and King would do fine with Raw, and Josh and Booker would do fine with SD.

By the way, have you seen "The Wrestling Road Diaries 2011" yet? It's a 2.5-hour DVD chronicling Colt Cabana, Bryan Danielson, and Sal somebody on the road going to indie gigs. This was filmed literally days before Bryan started in the WWE. It's pretty good. I enjoyed it.

I agree with everything you said. The D-Bryan (Booker's nickname is now stuck lol ) and Tyson Kidd match was really good but the commentary nearly ruined it. Michael Cole is trying so hard to be the new Bobby Heenan and he's failing miserably.

Josh Matthews is good but he's also bland. And why did they take Matt Striker off commentary but have Cole on BOTH shows?

I'm a fan of D-Bryan too and I want him to cash and WIN. Lord knows they need new some blood with Big Gold. He's over with the fans and he's great in the ring, give him a shot and see what he does with it. He's the only guy from NXT that has stood out. Wade Barrett is boring, Ezekial Jackson is too mechanical (The TORTURE RACK?! REALLY?) Otunga and McGillicutty are just abysmal, Justin Gabriel has no personality, and Heath Slater is just fucking awful. Slater's face pisses me off neutral

The tag belts need to be taken off Otunga and McGillicutty immediately

And PLEASE WWE, don't screw this Zach Ryder thing up confused

IMO the perfect commentary team would be booker T, the king and cole on raw. put JR on smackdown with josh and stryker.

if daniel bryan is having a match then mute the sound and just watch the match. I saw a drop in naming the moves that the wrestlers make but it picked up when CM punk called them out on everything.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping too. Zack's got so much buzz going in this thing, all of which he created ON HIS OWN, and I just hope they treat him right. So far, he's been jobbing on both shows, so we'll see.

I also saw they had Trips come out and Pedigree him, but thankfully, they didn't show it on TV. I mean, are they serious, bro??! Let the burying begin. confused

Oh, and that Bryan/Kidd match was pretty awesome. I'm just glad he took that punk patch of hair off his head and left it totally bald. He looked STUPID with it like that. The AJ/Natalya match was surprisingly good as well. I might have to make Natalya my new baby mama! She's definitely got the thickness!!!

Danielson should be a part of Punk's little "Ring of Honor" clique that's coming, then cash in his briefcase against Punk at Wrestlemania. A "friendly" rivalry that intensifies over the weeks leading up to WM. They do all the Ring of Honor/Puroresu stuff...shake hands before the match and all of that...then put on what could possibly be the greatest WRESTLING match in WWE history. A 30-40 minute instant classic...the kind of match that changes the face of the industry...the kind of match that would re-educate American sports entertainment fans as to what WRESTLING is. The kind of match that could make a STAR out of Bryan Danielson based solely on what he is...a fantastic wrestler.

But who the fuck am I kidding? In order for that to work, you require a booker who knows how to let an angle build over time. This is WWE...they'll find a way to screw it up. Yeah, they'll bring in Colt Cabana and Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero...hell, they'll probably put Danielson into Punk's little clique as well, but they'll give time on the BIGGEST WRESTLING SHOW OF THE YEAR to "Divas" having a lingerie pillow fight before Snoop Dogg comes out to dance with the bitches. God forbid the Rock vs. Cena gets upstaged like Savage/Steamboat upstaged Hogan/Andre at WMIII.

As for Michael Cole...the problem is that he's the PLAY BY PLAY guy! The heel is supposed to be the color guy. I pat WWE on the back for trying something new...but it aint working.

blunt music She has robes and she has monkeys, lazy diamond studded flunkies.... music blunt
