To be frank, people have been booing Cena forever.

Mark Madden's thoughts on CM Punk and the future...
Either of the bolded parts work for me. And yes...Cabana has already said he will be at the PPV Sunday.

Please!! HBK deserves an Oscar for that performance! Lol! Of course he didn't look pleased. He was trying to act like he knew nothing about what was going on and was just so ashamed to be a part of such a travesty, knowing all along he's lyin' his ass off.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Oh yeah, that's true. But this is his hometown, so you'd expect more cheers than jeers. If they can't get the majority of a crowd to cheer him in his own backyard, where else can they make it happen? The UK? lol
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I recall seeing a PPV where Cena was at his hometown and I actually remember hearing more boos than cheers that night so I don't think it's alarming. Cena's the good guy almost everyone hates.

Lol! I know, right. As much as I'm LOVING almost everything Truth's doing with his character, I also had a "smh" moment last night when he supposedly couldn't the fear terminology right. He can't spell "conspiracy", either, and it's like, "Laugh at the dumb nucca who can't read or spell." It almost has that air about it. I try to just look past it and just simple enjoy the entertainment aspect of it, but this is in the same vein as almost ALL of Vince's black characters. I'm surprised that Kofi Kingston wasn't originally made into some gun-totin' Jamaican or African!
And about Cena, every time I hear the very first note of his damn music, I instantly roll my eyes. It's like an involuntary reflex; some Pavlovian response. Because I know he's going to say something stupid and basically be sold like a million bucks. Now, when he first started and was bustin' muthafuckas with raps and being the "doctor of thuganomics", I thought his ass was funny and liked him. But now, his ass is too corny even for Disney. At least he didn't completely fuck up that ending promo, but his presence was highly unnecessary. If anything, they really could've used the opportunity to turn him heel and they still can.
They can align him with Vince at MITB and bust a scathing promo on the Chicago crowd and CM Punk and say he is indeed not that "underdog" because he's the best in the business and no one deserves to be in the ring with him, least of all Punk. They can go so many different, fruitful ways with this that it absolutely SUCKS to know they'll do nothing cool and different (with Cena, at least).

The WWE has always stereotypically demean its black wrestlers. The only one who seemed to get out of that bubble was The Rock because he never appear to look thuggish or dumb.

Gotcha!!
Hey, do you remember the One Night Stand PPV in 2006 where he was facing RVD for the title at the Ballroom? Now, THAT'S the type of environment I want to see in Chicago on Sunday. I wanna see people so hating him that they throw his shit back at him after coming to the ring. I actually thought it was going to be pandemonium when they started brawling out there in the crowd, but the crowd was relatively well-behaved!
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Every time Cena went into the crowd, I was always awaiting someone to hit him but no one did. I wonder if a PPV event happens in Philly that if he does that, then the "City of Brotherly Love" wouldn't be so brotherly. Since, you know, I heard Philly got some mean mugging folks waiting for a brawl sometimes.

kofi has no mic presence tho ..oh wait who really does? lol
and yeah once i heard cena's music too i was rolling my eyes man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Did you miss the 70's 80's era with Ernie Ladd, Rufus R. Jones, Pistol Pez Watley, Rocky King(oh lawd he was the worst. He made R.Truth look like a Rhodes Scholar). Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Well, if you remember, when Kofi first came, he was the "happy fun loving Jamaican" then it was found out he was really from Africa and grew up in Florida
His fake accent went away and he started using his real voice "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I did the same thing. As soon as that music hit, I thought "here we go again"
Punk and Vince were doing just fine. Punk went out and there and mocked Vince with the jet and ice cream bars (if you look, you can tell Vince was having a bit of fun with it, you can see it in his face) and then Super Saiyan Cena comes out and almost ruined it with the mock "may i have this, may i have that" crap he did. Then Punk took it back and brought it home "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Can I just say this?

Can YOU say it?? How about can we all say it together and extremely loud...FUCK JOHN CENA!!!
There. Sigh...don't get me wrong. I'm only talking about his character, before someone comes in here and says, "You don't even know the man! How could you 'hate' somebody you don't truly know? You know it's all fake, right?...." Yeah, he does Make A Wish stuff and loves the little kids and shows up to work every day (um, aren't we ALL supposed to do that??; besides, if I made the amount of money he's making with merchandise and salary and other sources, I'd be showin' up too; we ALL would), and God knows what else, but his character has been made into just this almost Christ-like figure that will inherently ALWAYS wind and come out on top and a constant do-gooder.
The public can only stand but so much of someone being forced down our throats before we start throwing up huge chunks. And we've been tossin' our cookies for AT LEAST 1-2 years.

Except, I think Cena probably looks out for the business a bit more than Hogan ever did. It's all about Cena (and Orton) because Vince says so and wants it to be. Hogan, on the other hand, thought he was the be all to end all of professional wrestling. And probably still does!

TP definitely isn't as bad as some others. Not the best, but I couldn't say he was worse than Truth.

WE WANT ICE CREAM! SEE THAT VINCE I JUST MADE U A MILLION DOLLARS IN ICE CREAM SALES man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

i agree with what ur saying tho at times yeah i wish that cena had the belt but it also depends on who's he's going up against. the main problem is that they act like no one else can have the belt but cena. the only one they have that can possibly hold it right now is del rio but even that would be a possible disaster. if truth had the title that would only last shorter than christian's reign. man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

The Rock FINALLY responds to John Cena:
"You graduate from a private high school, then all of a sudden you go hardcore thuganomics???...The men see through the bullshit!" Way too many good quotes to mention, but he completely owns Cena here! I'm lovin' it!
This shit is hilarious!!! Sounds like he's showing up at an event at MSG, right? I'm looking at the WWE schedule to see when that would be....
Okay, I just looked it up. They're gonna be at MSG for Survivor Series, so that makes sense since that's one of the four "main" PPVs of the year!! [Edited 7/13/11 15:22pm]

Lame response, Cena. Real lame.
John Cena Responds To The Rock's VideoBy Ryan Clark | July 13, 2011 | Comments (82) ![]() John Cena has responded to The Rock's video that we posted earlier today:
"CeNation. Just saw Dwayne's statement. Via satellite of course. Sad, really. It was like an episode of mad money.
"I wonder if GLAAD will be offended by Dwayne's comments.
"Either way..looks like I have really made him mad. But, certainly not mad enough to show up and do anything. Maybe he can send a stuntman.
"Dwayne. I am a WWE employee, and a proud one. The difference between us is you left for 'greener pastures'. For me...this is what I love.
"I have never begged for anyones admiration or acceptance, u don't believe me..watch MITB. Its not about that. Its about showing up.
"Id rather wrestle a thousand 'punks' than one 'rock'. Because I can see his passion. Wish I could see yours...yer just never there.
"Until april 1st. Keep on bringing it my man. You're doing great. Your friend John Cena"

OMG
rock did put it straight as the ladies like cena and orton for thier build not their wrestling talent. true men see through that bullshit!
just as much as the "diva's" of the WWE can see they are just eye candy unlike the true eye candy and WRESTLERS that the TNA knockouts deliver.
damn rock u killed it there! man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

WWE: Analyzing John Cena in the Aftermath of CM Punk's Historic Promo
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I nearly died at that line too! Putting on his tough guys shoes and his tough guy jean shorts that no one has worn since 1992, lookin' like a bloated transvestite Wonder Woman *pew, pew, pew, pew* LMAO! God, I love it!
In all seriousness though, I'm glad he said that he's not an employee of WWE's and that Cena is. I was just saying in a post a day or two ago that Cena brags about showing up every day for work, but then again so do so many other people. And that if he didn't do what he's supposed to do, which is show up, he would be FIRED! And plus, Cena's saying all that shit like The Rock never ran around the world wrestling his ass off, day in and day out.
I hope they air some parts of this (or even the entire thing) on Raw in the next week or two. This is something they need to broadcast!

yeah i hope so too!! but just the rock doing this made me think that if CM punk vs the rock every happend, can u imagine the promo's they would cut!!???
