What are everyone's plans for this summer?

The kids have been out of school for about three weeks now, and I have to say.....I have never enjoyed my kids as much as I have in the last 3 weeks. I don't know if it's cause I'm lucky enough to be home with them this summer so I just appreciate it more, or if it's the age they're at, but I have to say I am making the most out of every moment with them.

We are having so much fun together. Just had to share in my moment of joy.

we have 2 weeks coming up at the end of next week I have no plans except SURVIVAL

My kids break up for 6 weeks the end of July. This year will be the first year that i'll be working (part-time) during the school holidays. I'm going to hate it.

I hear ya. I was kinda dreading it myself, thinking how am I gonna entertain a 6 and 8 year old all summer with a 3 month old??? But it is working out great as long as we have some sort of activity every day. The other day there was nothing to do and so I was gonna take them grocery shopping, and was like, this is gonna be torture.......but then I decided to WALK to the store with the 3 of them, Madi in stroller. I told them if they're good in the store they get an ice cream for on the way home.

Ummmmmm. Never thought about how I was gonna lugg all the groceries home. It was interesting to say the least, but we had fun.

the last few holidays I've enrolled them in swimming, but this one coming up I've got NOTHING

the kids are awful, they just want to stay home and I go stir crazy

I hear ya Charlotte. Then you feel like all you're doing is yelling at them all day.....I hate that.

It's so hard for me. I mean REALLY REALLY hard, but what I'm trying to do, is not be uptight about the house being messy. Usually I just find myself walking around behind everyone and cleaning up. I swore this year I was just going to have fun, and fuck it if the house is a mess. I catch myself getting a bit neurotic at times, but then I let it go. After spending all of last summer without them, I made up my mind to enjoy this one, cuz who knows what next year will bring!

I saw my old home movies the other night, and I see my house was spotless back then

I KNOWWWWWWWWWW. When I look back at old pics I'm like holy shit, my house looked like a damned museum!!!!!! I don't care though. The house will be spotless again when everyone else moves out of it.

I don't know if I can wait that long, I think I'll be first to move out, get my own place, which will be my own haven nobody can leave their shit all over the place at mummy's.
