Scooby Doo and political correctness... My son is sick and I am sitting here watching Scooby Doo with him and it just struck me how racist this show is!
Just look at all the stereotypes these RACISTS perpetuated! Fred: An educated, gay white man who is a natural leader! *thanks to JediMaster for pointing out that Fred is gay* Velma: A very intelligent white woman who solves mysteries and is basically a lesbian, as she is slightly overweight and not very attractive. Smart women cannot be attractive... didn't you know? Daphne: A stereotypical model type. No brains, always in peril. If a girl is attractive, she can't have brains, right? Shaggy: Stereotypical weed smoker! Scooby Doo: Shaggy's dog... obviously a reference to marijuana. ... Damn! Its true! of course, it could be argued that Fred is a GAY white man, since he wears rather effeminate clothing, and shows no interest in Daphne whatsoever. If this is the case, then the entire group is made up of minorities (A gay, a straight woman, a lesbian, a drug addict, and a talking dog)
