Hollywood Is Not That Glamorous

I live at Sunset & Vine lol

Seriously i get so tired of people thinking Hollywood is this glamourous place where as soon as you get there your royalty confused

None of my friend's who don't live in L.A believe me but Hollywood is a f...h ghetto, i mean don't get me wrong tons of history and some nice places. But this is what i see just about everyday....

Psssh please this is what you see everyday, crackheads, people fighting, insane homeless people, people running in front of cars and on Hollywood Blvd you might see batman fight a mofo or 2 razz

I don't think there has been one day in the last year where i have not been asked for change and at least once a week some homeless hood rat or just psychotic Hollywood person will try to start something lol

No wonder tourism is at an all time Low in this place

OMG totally. Especially going towards Hollywood High. Sleazy motel central.

Tourism is actually at an all time high in L.A. And the Sunset Blvd. and Hollywood Blvd. strips do not make up all of Hollywood. Drive up behind these two blvds into the hills and you'll get all the glamour the TV pimps out to the masses. Besides, isn't the whole "hollywood," concept you get just an idea, some sort of metaphor for dreams coming true etc. etc. Hollywood Blvd and Sunset Blvd have always been a bit sleazy...

Really? everyone keep's telling me tourism is nowhere near as big as it was years ago. The Hills are very nice and the only thing that look's like it does on T.V

It's good to know there is a place that attracts more crazy people than Amsterdam is lol

Yes, drunken druggies, go to L.A.! That's the place to be for your holiday! It's sunny and there is a beach. Don't bother with visiting Amsterdam.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

No, it's not. But I like being there when I go to LA. The trees and it's hilly, it's weird but it feels kinda cozy to me. Haven't been on Hollywood Blvd in a long time, but long ago I use to find it...entertaining.

IDK if it was because of Boyz in the Hood or the L.A. riots but I knew it wasn't all fun in the sun then. Don't know why, I just did. shrug Plus it's too hot and smog is always around from what I hear so no... I rather stay here where I'm at lol

Even Rome in it's height of glory had the poor and homeless. Only thing missing in Hollywood is the

Flavian Amphitheatre/aka: the Colosseum where the enslaved, criminals and poor were sent to entertain the free and rich. Now the media and our wonderful cell-phone cameras can video tape the homeless and down trodden. Only difference is today's arena has no walls and the gladiators pale by comparison.

note: the Flavian amphitheatre has no direct connection to Flava-Flav giggle

Well it's a misconception that Hollywood is the neighborhood is where the stars are at now. That was back in the golden age of Hollywood. Now they're in Beverly Hills, or Mullholland St, or Santa Monica... right?

No in New York and Atlanta. lol

But yeah I reckon most stars who come to Hollywood settle in Beverly Hills. I think Hollywood being the neighborhood of stars was actually a myth. If you actually MOVED to Hollywood, California, I reckon it's not as glamorous because no celebrity would wanna live there anyway. lol

Beverly Hills is the only place that look's just how it is on T.V, There are always stars there. And don't go there unless you idea of very cheap is 200 bucks lol

It's kinda like that with California in general. People think California is sunny, warm, and has celebrities walking around, even here in Northern Cali. I remember walking around places like downtown San Francisco, Oakland, and Berkeley and seeing tourists wearing shorts, sandals, and Hawaiian shirts. Their dreams were shattered lol
