I also think it was a bad decision to put Bosh on Dirk, for that last play. Yes, people were saying, "Height vs. Height". When it comes to Dirk, that makes no difference. This is the ONE TIME, I would have put James, on him. For two reasons, putting a body on Dirk, would have forced him to work harder and hopefully, alter his shot; and 2. I want to see just how good, Lebron's defense is. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

This Walsh move was nothing but a firing. Dolan low-balled him knowing Walsh wouldn't go for a 40% pay cut/less power. He gave Walsh the middle finger. So why would any competent GM come here with Dolan over his shoulder?

NBA Finals, Game 3
Miami 88 Dallas 86
Miami leads series 2-1.
The Heat hold off a furious comeback by the Mavs, and Chris Bosh hits a key shot to put Miami over the top and regain home court advantage. BTW, since the NBA Finals went to a 2-3-2 format, 11 of the 12 teams (including tonight) who were tied in their series at 1-1 and won Game 3 went on to win the NBA title.

You ain't NEVA lied. I'm still baffled by the Mavs missing so many wide open, uncontested shots three games in a row. That, not the Heat, is going to be their downfall.
But of course, shit like this doesn't help Mario Chalmers, and the buzzer beater that shouldn’t have countedThe Dallas Mavericks and their fans can point to quite a few reasons for the team's two-point, 88-86 loss to the Miami Heat in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The team missed five free throws, shot 40 percent, turned the ball over 18 times, and clanged a series of solid three-point looks down the stretch. But Miami guard Mario Chalmers'(notes) buzzer-beating three to end the first quarter, one that should have been disallowed as Chalmers' foot was technically in the back court as he caught the ball, will sting the hardest. The half court stripe is considered part of the back court, and the referees missed the fact that Chalmers had his heel on the line when he took the pass from Udonis Haslem(notes) in the front court. The rule is that you must be considered fully in the front court before you can receive a pass from the front court, and Chalmers' foot was still in the back court when he caught the ball. That's a lot of "courts" to consider, but all Mavs fans will look at is that two-point deficit on the scoreboard as the final buzzer sounded, while ruing the three-points that shouldn't have counted. Of course, had Dirk Nowitzki(notes) not missed two shots down the stretch of the fourth quarter, kept the ball instead of dishing off for a Jason Terry(notes) miss, and not gotten caught up in a Haslem screen that allowed Chris Bosh(notes) to hit the eventual game-winner, nobody will remember this. Such are the vicissitudes of an incredibly close game. [Edited 6/6/11 5:30am]

What about that bullsh*t fake foul Wade got called that resulted in 2 freethrows when he jumped forward on a rebound and flailed like he had been fouled and the ref called a foul on Kidd? In my book, plays like that are bush league on should NOT be allowed at the NBA level. I hope the league does something about this kind of nonsense. It is flat on CHEATING the game the way I see it. Wade did that same b.s. at the end of game 2 laying on the floor like he had been hit in the eye on his last shot attempt.
Embarrassing..........

It goes both ways. I saw a bullshit foul call on Mike Miller earlier in the third period when Dirk went up for a shot. Even the announcers said that shouldn't have been called a foul. Dirk flops and jumps into players and get calls too. Chalmers got shoved out of bounds late in the 4th quarter by Jason Terry and no call. One of the Mavs players also ran right over one of the Heat players in the 4th quarter on a drive to the basket which was clearly a charge and no foul was called. It does go both ways. Don't laugh at my funk

I think next game will be close too. These games keep getting weirder. I'm guessing lucky fouls and missed shots are reasons...

All the games have been entertaining and in doubt until the end. That's what NBA fans without a rooting interest, like me, are looking for. Because unless you like beisbol, after this we've got 3 long months until the beginning of the college football season. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

NBA Finals, Game 4
Miami 83 Dallas 86
Series tied at 2-2.
The Mavs with an ailing Dirk Nowitzki make another furious comeback to take the lead and then hang on for dear life to win the game and even up the series at 2 games apiece.

Big difference between these Mavs and the '06 Mavs - having a cat like Tyson Chandler at the 5. He was doing WORK on those boards! 16 total.
Dirk wasn't 100%, but he got 11 boards, hit 9-10 free throws, and made that big layup late in regulation.
As always in a series, Game 5 is the big one.

It always is in series like this. I'll make sure to have everything ready for that game. This is definitely going to go in either 6 or 7 for either team. I still pick Dallas.
