itunes advice needed.

When I want to add a folder from my hard drive to itunes, it sometimes does it ok, but places 1 track elswhere in itunes.

For example, I add a folder containing an album of 10 songs by the same artist (not a compilation) to itunes, it adds 9 of those songs together, but adds 1 song elsewhere, which is a random song out of that 10.

Anyone have any ideas how to stop this?

I have tried a search online but did not find the answer. I tried itunes help section too.

Thank in advance.

The reason it is doing this is probably due to how it catalogues the file, so if an album had songs performed by Prince but one track was listed as Prince and, dunno lets say Lenny Kravitz, it would seperate that one track from teh album, annoying really.

When you copy the files, select all the files from the album, right click and select "Get Info" and then type in the details for the album and artist etc, also remember to change the music type from the drop down box.

iTunes catalogues using Artist / Album Artist etc so basically, just make sure all teh tracks have the same info. Just the track number / names need to be different.

Life is short, don't be a dick.
