Not just b/c it's gross (and she might pick up something), but, I hope she's taught to respect the dead (making it's head wobble like it was talking and checking out it's gender (?) was not cute.. lol)

She is 3. So, I don't think she has that concept of death and alive similar as adults have.

And her mom did say to show some respect. At that point the father realizes what is actually happening and tells her to bath and leave the squirrel. Her dad seems to perceive it all as very funny. I'm quick to judge others from one video. I don't what exactly happened before and after. I think I would not have recorded her, however, would put papers around the squirrel and held a ceremony and a funeral. However, it's allways easy to say what you would do in the ideal situation, you only know what you do when you are in the exact same situation, don't you?

totally agree.. that's a given with kids that young

Well, I know me.. If I were her, I would have shut that isht down (and deleted it); not just stand around and watch...

If it was a kid in my family and I was there, there would have been no filming, the child would not have been allowed to touch it (let alone play with it) at all, and I would have tried to explain about respecting life and have a "funeral" or something to show the child how to show respect.. 'cause a 3 yr old might not fully grasp the concept when explained just verbally.

Well, there were three of us then - so it was only 333K times per kid.

But she would say that for anything - a dead bird, a fish - anything she thought was dirty.

Another good one was - at holidays - if we were cutting up at the "kids' table." She'd yell in from the other room...
