That sounds like the same investigation that I remember. I was halfway expecting someone to dispute my claim or memory of that event, as it seems like it was swept under the carpet as quickly as possible. But I remember that shit, because I was always waiting for the outcome, that never came.

Vince McMahon probably made (as in: PAID) that shit go away with the quickness, lol.

I've never heard anything about underage male fans.... shit going on with some of the wrestlers, THAT i've heard

I definitely read about some pedophiliac activity with SOME of the wrestlers. Of course it's all stories but no one has come to debunk any of the rumors.

I'm telling you I read a site where there were stories of wrestlers that were having sex with underage girls, some even got with underage teenage boys under their will. Of course because of Vince, it got under the rug and never got out in the open.

Pat Patterson strikes me as the type for some odd reason too.

faint

Pat allegedly used his power to take advantage......it's been said Virgil got his job in WWE was because he let Pat give him a BJ neutral

and why do you think The freakin' Brooklyn Brawler is STILL with the WWE?

Ric Flair Comments On The Death Of Randy Savage, Recalls WrestleMania Match
By Daniel Pena
May 21, 2011 - 12:01:44 PM

TNA Wrestling talent Ric Flair appeared on Charlotte's "The Fan" 610 AM WFNZ sports radio station on Friday to discuss Randy Savage following his passing earlier in the day. Highlights are as follows:

Flair on "Macho Man" Randy Savage:

"It sure did (hit hard). It's pretty sad. He just recently got married, it's been a little over a year, and was happy and, you know, really seemed to be at peace with himself. He just had a phenomenal career and to have this happen is just really, really sad."

Flair on his WrestleMania VIII match with Savage:

"That was a huge day for me and my first dance at Wrestlemania, of course. It was just a tremendously well-written program. It was like he was married to Liz back then and she was a huge commodity and a huge star with the WWF, or that's what they were called back then, of course. And the thing was, 'She was mine before she was yours.' It was well-written and done and Randy worked hard at it and I worked hard at it. We had a really good match. Curt Hennig, God rest his soul, managed me and Liz managed Randy and we gave them a helluva show and it was awesome. That was my first Mania and one of the finest memories of my career."

Additional thoughts on Savage:

"My thoughts about Randy are different. I think he was such a competitive guy. Randy had a really hard time relaxing and I feel bad. I think about the times I used to say to him 'Hey man, just calm down and don't worry about this and this and this... whatever happens is going to happen.' If you go to sleep at night worrying about what's going to happen the next day, it's just too hard. You know, he worked like I did, 365 times a year back in the old days. He actually broke in in Charlotte in 1975. I'd only been here a year when Randy moved in down here. He played semi-pro baseball, I think, in St. Louis and was doing fairly well but wasn't blowing up the ladder like expected so he came here and broke in the business.

"The irony in that is when I first moved here in '74, I actually traveled with his dad several times. I knew the whole family very well. His dad just passed recently and I think that hurt Randy really bad. They were very close. Randy just dropped out of sight when the company was sold from WCW (to WWE).

"The thing I feel worst about, of all of the guys that are available and eligible to be in the WWE Hall of Fame -- there most be something that I'm unaware of that's gone on and they've never inducted him because Randy certainly was a major player for the WWF in the mecca days of the eighties and nineties."

Flair on whether Savage is one of the 10 greatest wrestlers ever:

"Of course. Yeah. Of course. ... I didn't always agree with Randy. I'm not gonna lie to you. I didn't sweat things out like he did. But I wasn't... I didn't have to fight like a dog in that race they had to be whoever they were in the eighties in that show, where everybody was fighting for position everyday of their life. I didn't have to evolve from that. I never had personal differences with him, nothing about lifestyle. It was just about business and it doesn't stop my opinion (of him) -- he always did favors for me. He came in and opened some of my Golds Gyms. We were great friends. He and I clashed in business, but outside of the ring we were great. He could drink beer and have a good time. And, I made him laugh and helped him take his mind of things that bothered him. We got along great and had a lot of fun together.

"I used to say to him all the time, he probably died with 300 million dollars in the bank. I'm not exaggerating. I'm being facetious. But, Randy was very thrifty. I used to say to him all the time, because he would stay at hotels that were less cost effective than where I stayed. (laughs) You can criticize it all you want but I'm going to enjoy the moment because you never know, you know.

"The irony in that is Randy was only 58-years-old. That's sad because I guarantee you he's got enough money to live 200 more years. He made it. He worked hard to earn it. He worked very hard to earn it. He deserved it. But I always used to say to him, 'Man, you live for the day.' Today's another example of why you have to live for today. You never know."

"We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

How many of you old-school wrestling fans remember Poffo Mania?!? lol

BTW, THIS was consider one of the most shocking moments in pro-wresting history, when Savage put Ricky Morton through a table with the piledriver! Before this incident, piledriving anyone through the table was unheard of in USA, Mexico, Japan, Canada, or any other wresting territory on Earth for that matter:

It was in the news for only a couple of days (about 20 years ago), then... POOF! I specifically remember the part about drugs and young boys. And of course, out of all the wrestlers that were implicated, Hulk Hogan's name stuck out in my memory... but there were definitely other well-known wrestlers involved.

It's just weird how the story disappeared. Nothing about the wrestlers being exonerated or proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Almost like the Eddie Long story: Full-on accusations, then... POOF!

Me either. Anytime I happen to come across wrestling these days as I'm channel surfing, just some guy standing in the middle of the ring in his street clothes talking shit. Either that, or a whole group of people standing in the ring in their street clothes, passing the mic around... talking shit. Back in the day... they used to WRESTLE! What I loved about this promo is the contrast between the 2 brothers. Lanny is cutting this extremely eloquent promo about Rock N Roll, and the sins of the flesh. Meanwhile, Randy is going completely berserk and bashing own head in with a chair!

That had to be an interesting house to grow up in. Lanny would probably be in his room reading Shakespere and Chaucer, maybe writing poetry. And Randy would be outside just raising hell throughout the neighborhood!

I wish the WWF put them together. Maybe not acknowledge that they're brothers, but I would've liked to see more interaction between them.

I think the only time they ever interacted on camera was for this...

LMAO!! This interview was golden! This is what the wrestlers today lack. They can't think on their feet and be entertaining anymore like this. Edge was one of the last ones, in my opinion, that could do it, but he was a product of the Attitude Era, so it doesn't surprise me.

I'm having a ball watching these Savage promos all over again!! I'm about to pull out my DVD in a minute, too!

I'll never forget Saturday Nights Main Event...Savage vs Beefcake...Sherri took off her stockings and choked Beefcake while Savage had the ref distracted...then proceeded to put the stockings back on at ringside.

A couple of weeks ago, I ordered the monthly subscription package on WWE's website called WWEClassics.com. It's $3.95 a month or $39.95 per year for a lot of premium content. I figured I'd do it for a month to try it out. I've been trying to look for dedicated Macho Man stuff on there, but they haven't uploaded anything other than what they uploaded on the regular site. Youtube has more than that!

I'm going to view the PPV stream tomorrow (non-paid, might I add) to see what, if anything, they do to show respect.

I always like Sensational Sherri. I don't know if it's because my mother's name is Sherrie, so I've always liked that name or what.

She was a great manager, and everyone she managed was successful. From the AWA days with Rose and Somers, to the WWF managing Randy Savage, Ted Dibiase, and Shawn Michaels.

She was also great in WCW when she managed Ric Flair and Harlem Heat.

I always thought she was awesome. Even with her annoying voice.

It's so sad that Liz, Sherri, and now Randy are all gone, but at least now the 3 of them are reunited.

Although the steroids issue loomed, there were and are still quite alot of guys who are insanely huge, Vince in fact prefers main eventers who are more muscular.Guys like Ahmed Johnson, Sycho Sid, Lex Luger, Brock Lesnar, Bastista, and now Mason Ryan and John Cena come to mind

Shawn Michaels didn't fit the "look" Vince had in mind for his main eventers

He wasn't insanely huge, he wasn't 6 foot 10, but he put on some of the greatest matches the WWE ever showcased. Because of guys like Shawn, the Hart brothers, and others, the whole "Huge muscular" thing kinda got pushed to the aside to some extent

Shawn is absolutely my most favorite wrestler of ALL time. His in-ring skills were out of this world, and he could cut a promo with the best of 'em. The WWE has had a huge hole in it since HBK retired last year. Even at his age he was STILL giving 5-star match/Match Of The Year performances. I wish he would come back for another series of matches (or even just an on-camera role), but I know he said he didn't want to be one of those wrestlers who retires but keeps coming back. He's still in great shape, though.

It would've been really interesting to see where his career would've ended up if he never hurt his back at Bad Blood in 1997 and got that back surgery. Maybe he wouldn't have the perspective he has now and would be spiraling out of control. Or maybe he would've gone on to be bigger than Austin and/or HHH. He was already BETTER than those two, but not bigger.

And is it me, bboy, but is Mason Ryan just Batista 2.0? Lol! Vince absolutely gets off on guys with physiques like that. Geesh!
