Razzie nominees (worst in movies) 2002 Razzies are out today!
The most nominated film was Spears' screen debut, ''Crossroads,'' with eight nominations, including worst picture, worst actress, worst screen couple (''Britney Spears and Whatever-His-Name-Was'') and most flatulent teen-targeted movie (a new category, featuring fellow nominees ''Adam Sandler's 8 Crazy Nights,'' ''Jackass: The Movie,'' ''Scooby Doo,'' and ''XXX''). Madonna's ''Swept Away'' is up for just seven Razzies, but the Material Mom comes out ahead with two more nominations for herself for her work in ''Die Another Day'' (worst supporting actress and worst song). Tying ''Swept Away'''s seven nods was '''Star Wars: Episode II -- Attack of the Clones.'' Roberto Benigni's ''Pinocchio'' was behind by a nose with six. The overall winner (if that's the right word) on Razzie night may be Eddie Murphy. He was listed as worst actor for all three of his 2002 films (''The Adventures of Pluto Nash,'' ''Showtime,'' and ''I Spy''), which earned a total of 10 nominations among the three of them. The ceremony takes place March 22, one day before the Oscars, at the Four-Points Sheraton Hotel in Santa Monica. A partial list of nominees is below; the full list is available at the Golden Raspberries website.
