The dress code is basically "don'ts." Somehow, I don't think johnart was planning on a backwards baseball cap and pants hanging below his ass.

Well, not at the start of the party, anyway.

Yes, our queen is too classy for that trash! lol

When I read the list, I thought, "Oh, this is to keep the riff-raff out!" Very good idea. nod

I'm within all venue guidelines. lol

Shirt #1, middle khakis, and the sandals are fine. But iron that shit. hmph!

I totally agree. Linen pants would be better, but the middle khakis should do well with the shirt and sandals selected.

Also, don't ignore how far the perfect sunglasses -- only on the collar or in the hair if inside, of course no no no! -- will go. You shouldn't need much bling beyond that.

Oh, my gawd - yes. The shades are critical.

Oh, my gawd - yes. The shades are critical.

So am I back to shirt 1 or am I with Tommy shirt? neutral

Not that I won't bring both, but you know, then I might have to take an extra shirt for eve (or just change from the khakis into jeans (if wearing shirt #1 to both reunion and out). I'm exhausted.

And sorry to dissappoint but I don't own any shades. boxed

You need to remedy that. hmph!

Tommy shirt with khakis for the beach, the other shirt with jeans for the club.

OK, this does not change from this point on.

I wear glasses most of the time so shades are something I always mean to get but never do. But I'm due for new contacts, so will make an effort. Maybe not by Saturday. lol

I recently plumped for a new pair of sunglasses with Prada frames and polarized, progressive lenses (so's I can read in the sun).

I can relate to Sweetie on this. Again, probably because they've never been something I've much worn, but I'd find it hard to spend a fortune on sunglasses.

You might not feel that way when you find the P.E.R.F.E.C.T. pair.

Personally, I love sunglasses AND I have a hard time spending a lot of money on them, but that is because I lose them.

nod

I look like a complete idiot in most sunglasses, but I think they can totally make a good look great. When I find that rare pair that looks hot on me, then, I will sell organs if necessary to afford them. lol

Well, I'm stuck because I need prescription lenses. I have two single vision pairs - one RayBan, one Oakley. (I wear the Oakleys for golf and cycling because they have non-slip nose-pads and bows.) Each cost roughly $350. The frames are nothing fancy, either.

If I want progressive lenses, that ups the ante even more. The lenses alone in the Pradas were $450. The frames were on sale, but the whole package was (obviously) pretty spendy.

What's a girl to do? shrug
