I am aware of lots of game-playing and insidious, hurtful shit lately between some of the Orgers here. Low-blows, new Org accounts used for the sole purpose of riling people up, insults, mockery, "ganging up" on other members, etc. It's childish and although this is "just" the internet, there are real people behind these names of ours.

Just let it be. Let's stop the cattiness, and if anyone has anything to say--is it possible to directly deal with the person to resolve things, instead of spread more venom/rumors/ugliness to others? I hope so...

Why do I feel like I'm doin' an altar call?

I think that over recent times some "jokes" have been taken way to far. There is also alot of bating going on. I find those non-stop, circular arguments to be boring.

I'm feeling you... there are real people behind these names of ours... and while it is only natural for some people to get on better than others, it is the insidious vindictiveness that turns me off completely..

No-one has to like everyone... of course! However just because you may not like someone, that doesn't mean one has to do everything in their power to humiliate the person in question. Where does that get someone... at the end of the day?

Anyway... we're all free to be whoever we want to be (within the limits of the org rules anyway *giggle*) .. and I definitely respect everyones right to express themselves in whatever way they choose... however it certainly wouldn't hurt if people sometimes kept in mind that the price of joke sometimes isn't worth the laughs it may get from some if in the process of being "clever" you're hurting someone deeply. Naturally one can't always (nor should they have to) anticipate the negative impact that their words can have on another person. But at the same time when you're intentionally saying things with the sole purpose of humiliating another, then it can and often does become unreasonably ugly and sinister... fortunately most of us know when a joke is taken too far... when it is no longer funny...

I'm not trying to be self-righteous or "holier-than-thou" by any means... that's not where I'm coming from at all and I hope this doesn't come across that way, that is not my intention, all I'm saying is that we are responsible for the things we say here, even if it is "just" the internet...

That been said, I'll reiterate, I respect everyones right to be themselves or someone else , as the case may be...

I just don't like it when the criticism of another becomes so personal (and no longer about ideas or different views of a subject matter etc), when it gets to that point, I believe it often starts reflecting much more about you, than the person you're trying to hurt... you know?
