I'm sure it changed with the recasting... but the elements off Prince are there, seducing flight attendants, a pop star... costumes... a kind of faux femme persona...okay maybe that's it.

I agree the larger than life persona could be associated with Prince, but off-stage Prince is always so shy and reserved! lol it's like a reputation not a reality that inspired the role

I agree, it's his "Prince" persona. not his real Prince Nelson self.

FAST FIVE - gets a 3.5/5 from me.

I did enjoy it, don't get me wrong, however there was not enough racing...and I felt it borrowed heavily from the following films:

The Italian Job

XXX

Oceans 11

It worked though; also it had chocolate (Tyrese) and Caramel (The Rock) so visually it was stunning.

The last movie I watched was "The Human Centipede". I'd rate it a 7/10.

Movie before that, was "Seed" - another horror movie. That, I'd rate a 8/10.

8/10, maybe 7/10. Mostly very good, some thinks bothered me a bit, can't really point them out, though.

(This review was in no way paid for by POM Wonderful presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold.)

The last movie I watched was the M. Night Shamalyn movie Devil. It was very good up until about the last 10 minutes when it got unbelievably sappy and cheesy and I wondered then, what the hell has happened to M. Night who used to be such a genius with Signs and The Sixth Sense? I think he's lost it. The movie would have been great had he not decided to end it with such a cheesy ass twist. Hated the ending.

That was one of the bleakest movies I've ever seen. Javier's Oscar nomination was well deserved though.

Sorry but I was never a fan of animation until 3D stArted suspending my disbelief for reals. Irish accent? You do realize that it's the same actor I couldn't understand in In Bruges that is the abbot in this movie? mad

A graphic designer not into animation--I suppose I've heard of stranger things. lol I'm the opposite, I find 2D animated films like The Secret Of Kells, Persepolis and The Illusionist to be much cooler than any of the 3D Pixar stuff.

Is your problem with just Brendan Gleeson or the other Irish actors as well?

Anne Frank - The Whole Story (2001)

director - Robert Dornhelm

starring - Ben Kingsley as Otto Frank

Brenda Blethyn as Anne Frank

Although (it is written) there are a few factual inconsistency in this film version, I feel the details of the time lived in "the attic" allows the story to seem even more plausible. The way the story unfolds one can view a less abstract understanding of the individual personality struggles that took place from, July 1942 to 1945 in the "attic."

Ben Kingsley does a great job in his portrayal of Mr. Otto Frank. He seems to have embodied a stalworth fatherly figure. The characterization displayed how Mr. Frank patiently carried the great weight upon his shoulders, as he held together and supported the extended family in the attic. Brenda Blethyn added to the great acting in this mini series. I found a VHS copy at a recca stowe in my area.

(I refuse to relinquish my VHS player. couch . VHS helps keep my classic couch ultra classic)

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I rate the movie : star starstarstarstar great acting,

(same) historical and location accuracy.
