See, I can't take shit like that. I would go to Japan and never return from having a heartattack simply because I went to take public transportaion and copious amounts of cockroaches came running out of nowhwere or a big ass spider is on my wall.
surviving on the thought of loving you, it's just like the water
I ain't felt this way in years...
I saw a daggone cayote IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD ..just last night. but i remember those days of wine n roaches...
i'd be soo embarrassed, they would crawl out of my purse at work when i about 19-20. we were in an apartment at the time but daddy paid an exterminator..

Maybe it's not something that happens on the regular.
it's like saying 'don't go to America. they have rattlesnakes there.'
No, it's not. I never told anyone not to go to Japan because of the roaches, I said I was skeptical because of what I saw. Although I am very afraid of cockroaches this was a lightehearted thread, I wasn't ragging on Japan. Also, people talk about New York and it's attachment to rats all of the time {I live here} and it doesn't bother me.

I only saw about 10 rats when I visited NYC, but they stayed on the train tracks

so, what do you think of mice? they are pretty cute! and soft too because you can't help touching them when you do stuff like put your hand in your pantry

I'm not into rats or mice. I can deal with hamsters and thanks goodness the mice in the pantry thing is so not the case.

Well you guys might be interested in these little buggers... One of the TOP TEN New Species.
Jumping Cockroach
Prior to the discovery of Saltoblattella montistabularis (pictured) in South Africa's Table Mountain National Park, jumping cockroaches were known from only the late Jurassic period.
The newfound species has legs specially built for jumping, as well as sturdy antennae that help stabilize the insect as it leaps.
"You don't think of cockroaches and cute going in the same sentence, but these guys are really pretty neat," ASU's Wheeler said.
"I like it because it helps clean up the tarnished image of cockroaches"—only a small fraction of the thousands of cockroach species are true pests, he said.
"Everyone paints them all with the same nasty brush—this is an example of a cute little animal doing its thing."

If you visit NYC again, I will take you to the stations where the rats walk on the platform with the people.

I think we tend to overexaggerate these sort of things. I mean shit, I'd freak out at those roaches and spiders too but the likelihood of seeing them isn't THAT high.
I mean, I've been to India twice... I've stayed in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune and Chandigarh and I didn't see any scary bugs or anything like that. And there's a fair share of creepy and deadly tropical creatures in India.
There's nothing to worry about if you're smart. If you're more of the outdoors adventurous type then obviously you're putting yourself at a slightly higher risk, but I like my cities, nice hotels, and protected cars with air-conditioning
