If the face is nice, a woman could be described as "fine & thick," huge emphasis on AND, as if it's rare. Usage varies, but it's mostly a description of the body, IMO...
generally, if i say a girl is think, the fine part is implied and assumed... a girl whose face is a 2 doesn't get thick... she might get "that girl got an alright, body and all, but damn that face has got to go"... but i save thick for fine women... OH Your standards are higher than the brothas I've talked too They'd still call her thick as long as the body was cool... So is "thick" supposed to be a good thing, then? I think most girls would probably be offended by the term, as it suggests that they need to lose some weight... End. Are you European? Actually I'm American... Is this a cultural thing? End.

Nah, I'm the Irish man, Matt is from the US Yup, although I do have Irish ancestors. I'm 5'8", and for many years, I was stuck around 115 to 120 pounds. Recently I've filled out a bit and now weigh around 135 pounds. My mother-in-law commented that I used to look anorexic, but now I look healthy. Still, I'd like to lose a few pounds--I think I've developed just a little bit of a belly. My waist size is 29 inches, although if I'm wearing jeans that are meant to be baggy, I can often get away with a 28. I'd say the O's are fat, the N's are thick, and the U's are slim. The difference between the 9's and 7's seems to be that the 9's are more evenly proportioned while the 7's are more hourglass shaped... End.

I hate evaluating women based on how "fat" or "thin" they are. Why don't we do this to men? We don't. And I hate how fucked up women's brains get over this kind of thing...

Women might not but men do sort of. Well, they hang shit on other men who are either fat or skinny. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

I guess what I'm saying is that how many threads do you ever see here about men's bodies, with women evaluating them, picking them apart? You see the rare thread about how great Prince's ass is, but that's about it...

Women are just as critical as men when it comes to this sort of thing. How often do you see a thin, beautiful woman on a date with some fat slob? Not too often, unless he's rich... End.

I'm not talking about extremes here, Peter--"fat slob" or "thin, beautiful woman". Most of the time, I see people of about the same height-weight proportion and/or looks together. I'm saying that in my opinion, being somewhat over or underweight is not as much of an issue socially for men as it is for women. It doesn't seem to get that kind of attention or fixation from people. There have been tons of threads about women's looks and bodies here ("who's the hottest celebrity female" or "thick or thin"), but not about men. And I'm just saying that it makes me feel uncomfortable and frustrated at the double standard--not saying that I'm right or wrong, just how it makes me feel. DEBATE ON Actually, this is my cue to stop because I was accused earlier of trying to insert my ego and "shut down" someone on this thread, of not allowing people to disagree with me, when I attempted to debate that "thick" is somewhat relative.

Well I had always assumed that most men preffered slimmer women, but based on the responses here, it seems as though some men aren't so picky about it. I guess it's just not something that can be firmly concluded one way or another. Many men prefer thin women while others don't mind if they are thick... End.

Okay, y'all know I don't post often, but you know I have to say sumthin...okay as a shapley sexy full figured aka thick sista, I have felt that I was fat, but men tell me that I am not fat, just thick and sexy I am a size 14/16,with the whole package, full bust, and hips, yet proportioned to my frame. I guess it is all in the way you carry your self, I have always been happy with my size, and my style. I personally attract men who are thin as well as bigger brothas, tall and thick like a football player but a little more leaner, not a bulky...(ladies u dig where I am coming from?) You know society labels people and that is so shitty, I have met people who are confident within themselves and just radiate the sexiness no matter what size. Oh, well just my honest opinion.

Most of my friends prefer their woman to have a bit of meat on her bones Not fat, but not skinny either. I don't know anyone who really goes for the emaciated supermodel look... I don't really have any rules about it myself... coz I've met beautiful women of all shapes and sizes.
