Coolest place to see a concert . . . EVER. A few weeks ago I went to Vegas to see Nas and my baby daddy Damien Marley do a joint concert. They performed on the rooftop pool of the Cosmopolitan Hotel overlooking the Strip. I have to say it was one of the best hip-hop concerts I've EVER been to. A big part of the show's impact was the sheer sexiness of the environment. Vegas lights at night, the big board showing the performance in the background while you're watching it, sexy people in bathing suits, Reggae music, dreads, Nas looking good, complete sensory overload I tell ya.
I highly recommend if you get to Vegas check out this hotel, it's the most beautiful boutique hotel I've ever seen.

When I was looking for a vacation spot I considered Vegas cuz I go so frequently. But the hotel rooms are so cheap and the real estate market horrible so it didn't make business sense since I wanted rental income too. I always stay at the Trump because no casino (great, since I don't gamble) and all the rooms are suites or apartments so there's lotsa room.

At the Cosmopolitan??? Be prepared for LOTS of half nekkid people walking around all over the casino and hotel. It's a very young demographic but it's a stunningly beautiful hotel. The nightclub is set inside a massive crystal chandelier. | |

The first and last time I was in Vegas, they were building the Trump condo/hotel. Isn't it almost right across the street from that dump the Riviera, which was one of the oldest joints there and at the end of the strip. I remember seeing that golden monolith going up across the street and thinking, "Whoever stays there is gonna pay out the ying-yang!"
If I were to ever go back to Vegas, which is highly unlikely because it's not my kind of town, I would like to stay there since it is not a casino. I HATED walking through the casino because of the smell and all the damn noise. | |

No, it's actually directly across the street from the Fashion Show Mall. The front doors face the entrance to Nordstrom. It's one block away from the Wynn/Encore/Palazzo. They even have a free shuttle that takes you back and forth to the Wynn. It was supposed to be a condo tower but when the economy dived they offered up more condos as hotel rooms. I hate the long ass walk thru a casino to your room. That shit gets real old. | |
