This whole "rage against the frogs" does sound unfair to me.

Ponds are the natural habitat for frogs, and by nature they start to sing as loud as they can. They are convinced they have to, in order to impress the girls. These guys don't know that relationships are only succeed for frogs with a caring, loving, fun and generous supporting nature.

Male frogs are convinced it's all about the noise they make, they assume, the louder I shout about my capacities, the more females will believe me, so I end up with a harem.

They can't help themselves; they are males. They, by definition, don't have a sensitive 'read social signs and behavior' radar. A male frog doesn't care about the effect of his own behaviour on their environment. It's all about his needs, life evolves around the male frog shrug

So, this poor frog comes to your pond. Assuming you build it especially for him. Hey starts bloating about himself to attract some girls to the pond.

And then you shoot him.

Now that I think about it. Will you come to the Netherlands soon? With your shutgun? Because I actually know about this Dutch frog, that deserves a good blow on his head. I'll help you hunting him down.......

You won me over. Let's kill all these bastards!!!!!!!!

The war on frogs is on

Froggy Porn. say it with me: froggy porn! set up a video camera down there and film the little fellows attracting and interacting with females nod not only will it be lucrative, it might even qualify as educational!!!

First we try to take away their first amendment right for freedom of speech (or croak, if you will), then we condone froggy murder, and now we want to start froggy sex slavery and porn. Where does it all end? Tadpole molestation???

Poor, poor frogs!

talk to the hand not at all. virtuously, i am only trying to end the bloodshed occurring in Mr. R. Schro's pond by finding a way for him to regard the nightly serenade of frogs as a Good Thing.

If I remember correctly - he built the pond.

What?

Well, then that's just baiting them. neutral

We built 2 ponds at our first home. I remember the whole frog-invasion thing. There were times when you'd walk through the grass and the grass would shift (baby frogs) . ill

nod My grandparents had a pond in the backyard and avoiding the frogs became second nature. Strange, really, you would just be able to "know" one of them was near regardless of them making noises. Maybe it was peripheral vision and awareness kicking in.

Personally, frog bellowing/burping/yelping/ribbiting doesn't bother me. We've got loads of tree frogs out here. I didn't even know they were frogs at first. They sounded like birds.

hmmm So, your on the frogsarmy side?

Just to be clear on choosing what side of the pond you choose to reside. In case of real confrontation in the midst of the frogwar!

It's just not fair. It's like setting up a bar and a runway on the front yard then chasing me off with a bat cause I showed up to Werq it. hmph!

me either. the only thing that bugs me about frogs is when they swarm the roads at night. i kid you not. i've had some really ugly night time drives out on the wildy woods roads where, for whatever reason, there were tons of frogs sitting around on the asphalt, like to the tune of one frog per six square inches. one night it took me about an hour and a half to drive twenty miles because i was dodging frogs.

generally though, i like the way they sound. not under the tires of the car, mind you, but their song.
