I agree, but I am not sure mainstream media agrees as much.
Look at our movies, TV etc, and you'll see the guys are the stars with the best roles (playing sexy, silly, weird, dorky, etc) and the women often play the straight role as beautiful wife, beautiful girlfriend...

She's nerdy, all right. They tried to make her seem like a Kylie Minogue type of a pop diva in all of her early promo shots, but it's not really what she's like in person. She's into all kinds of gadgets and weird electronic instruments much like the guys that do electronic music.
I don't see Kylie Minogue posting these type of videos on youtube
