I am in a place where I've realized that right now is the time for me to take charge of my life and do the things that I have to do to get my independent adult life moving forward.

Not really. I felt a sense of relief that this hateful dangerous person could not hurt anyone anymore but I can't say I rejoiced.

I can't think of anything recently but in high school I had these platform sneakers and these clunky denim boots that I loved for a short time.

I don't really have one, but I guess armpits are ugly enough.

What was your worst date (blind or planned) |
| |
I had a date with a guy I met online. I didn't really get a chance to see him (he didn't have a lot of good pics online), but we had an awesome conversation on the phone and we really hit it off and I was so excited. When I went to meet him I was not physically attracted to him AT ALL. He wasn't what I'd call ugly but all the romantic feelings I'd had for him before instantly faded after that. It was so awkward and then I had to find a way to tell him. I hate giving that kind of news so I felt guilty, upset, and sad and then I felt guilty for feeling sad about something that clearly he had more right to be sad about. Ugh, that whole thing just sucked.

This is such a cliche, but Oprah. And it's not so much because of her success, but of how she has grown as a person and how she views that world and life around her. She is so in touch with what it means to grab life but horns and live in the moment and pay attention to what your life is telling you and showing to you. I hope to have that kind of insight someday.
