me, i never made it to highschool, but i have very close ties to the brothers of this fraternity... just thought i'ld give them a shout and see who's in here I AM King BAD a.k.a. BAD,

The Asian sorority here keeps harassing me to join their thing. I guess it's because I'm about the only Asian on this campus, haha.
Anyhow I'm not interested at all. The frats and sororities here are treated as a total joke, it really isn't cool at all to be in one. And they're violent too! Just look: http://www.santa-cruz.com...3local.htm I mean, like, where is the sun? | |

They seemed more interested in parties and step shows than anything else at the time, plus I was on a whole George G.M. James "Stolen Legacy" Afrocentric-what-do-you-mean-"Black Greeks"? vibe at the time so I wasn't havin it. In the end, I got a more balanced perspective... they had some serious cats in their organizations tryna hold it down and do good things in the community and help each other out and I respect that. I adored a frat boy once, does that count? He was an Alpha & gorgeous... 
I was impressed w/ sororities when I was coming out of h.s., had it in my mind to check them out. What cured me of it? Visiting a best friend who was in one  the ridiculous, sweatshirt-based cliquishness (sp?)  the constant backstabbing amongst the sorors  the automatic dislike of other students on campus  and I went to a small college where there were none would have had to pledge a city chapter who needs it...
It's too bad the "who you know" thing is so real - I'd love to benefit from that part of it, but I'm just not down w/ the manufactured "sisterhood"... Disclaimer: this ain't about frats & sororities in general... Okay it is, LOL, I just don't wanna piss off BAD, he might tell me to KICK ROCKS!!!

I guess I've been burned one too many times by folks who get highly offended when you don't have glowing things to say about frats & such  My ex had someone tell him, "Oh, you're GDI" He had no idea what the guy was talking about, then the guy goes, "God Damn Individual."
