A Muslim actress has caused a firestorm in Germany's Islamic community by stripping nude for Playboy.

Sila Sahin, the 25-year-old star of the German soap opera Good Times, Bad Times, has been branded a "whore" and a "western slut" on web message boards popular with Islamic hardliners for her cover spread in the mag's German edition.

The Islamic Community of Germany has called for a boycott of her show.

The sexy brunette remained defiant, saying that she bared it all as a reaction to the "slavery" of her youth.
