Easter movies

While exercising earlier I started thinking about Easter movies. My favorite 'Rude' seems to be a blasphemous choice but that was the first one I thought of.

Others:

Passion of the Christ

Meet Me In St. Louis

The Robe

The Ten Commandments

The Matrix

I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

cool TCM is doing their annual Easter marathon. They usually show Ben Hur every year but they're not today. No matter, I got it on DVD and I'ma watch it after the Lakers game. tv

The rest of today's lineup:

The Greatest Story Ever Told (on right now)

Jesus Christ Superstar

Godspell

Another Easte-ish epic is Quo Vadis. Great cast. Peter Ustinov as Nero was too funny.

Hellooooo! Easter Parade!
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

No offense to any but Easter doesn't get any Whiter than than. lol

I think that's the movie I was thinking of instead of 'Meet Me in St. Louis' which was about the 1904 World's Fair.

I remember the Easter Parade . . .

Interesting to see you include The Matrix, SUPRMAN. It clearly follows the Gospel arch, but I never thought of it in line with the season.

Have you ever seen Easy Rider? Watch it with a Gospel framework and see what you get out of it. nod

I watched 'The Matrix' on Easter. Not your typical Easter movie but neither is' Rude' (Which is a Canadian film.)

Have only seen pieces of 'Easy Rider.'
