The announcement trailer for Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark of the Moon whetted fans' appetites for the third round of robot destruction late last year, and now a full promo has been released ahead of the sequel's release on July 1.

The cast navigating the 3D Transformers carnage this time includes Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, John Malkovich, John Turturro, Frances McDormand, Patrick Dempsey and Hugo Weaving.

Wow, I can totally see where they've decided to concentrate on character development.

I had completely forgotten this was coming out this summer. I guess that shows you just how much I was keeping track of it. I really want it to do well/be good so it can wash the bad taste out of my mouth left by the second one. Lol!

I'm glad, though, that they're continuing to make Prime look like a bad ass. In the cartoon (at least the Generation 1 version in the 80s), I got he was the leader, but I never got the sense that he was truly the BEST. In these movies, ke's kicking all kinds of ass! And, is it just me, or is anyone having a hard time deciphering what Decepticon is who just by looking at them? They just seem like a mass of gray metal, at least until they speak. And even sometimes then, there's confusion for me. They need to give each one more unique visual characteristics. Most of them seem like slightly small versions of Megatron.
