I loved that show - mostly because I actually worked in radio news, at one time.
I knew all those characters. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that show! And so realistcally a radio station. The big idiot jerk general manager looking for ways to make a buck, the diva star (phil Hartman's character) and the slacker engineer.
I LOVE that show! It was so sad for Phil Hartman's unfortunate early exit.

Stephen Root was incredible on that show. The 2 storylines that spring to mind:
1. Jimmy James running for president using "Life's Been Good" as his campaign theme song.
2. Bill's crusade against rap music that came to an abrupt end when Chuck D walked into the studio, prompting Bill to segue into . . . "the rhythm the rebel! Chuck D!" I miss Phil. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
Props will be withheld until the showing and proving has commenced. -- Aaron McGruder
