Jeepers Creepers rocked and it was scary because of 2 things-one, the intended victim was a man, not a woman and 2, the director is a convicted child molester

What about Jacob's Ladder? hmmm

That's a highly influential one! It's a rarity for a horror movie to come out that is so cool enough in some way that it is copied forever after.

Agreed.

Re-Animator

Scream

Martyrs was pretty creepy.

The Thing has my favourite special effects..CGI just doesnt really do anything for me.

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

That will do it. I'm not a HUGE fan of Saw, but the first one does have a respectable creep factor. And Requiem is straight up disgusting at times, so I am there with you on that. That sounds like a creepy double feature.

"Creepy" is a very specific term and, for me, very different from scary or disturbing for me. Some that come to mind right away are "The Orphanage/El Orfanato" and of course the beautifully creepy "Rosemary's Baby".

Yeah, that's what I was going for. Less "scary" and more "creepy" as in weird, strange, disturbing even works, but not disturbing in the sense of a scary gorey flick. Disturbing cuz of things perhaps unseen.

There is an Alice In Wonderland remake, a non-US version that was made with stop animation in the 80s or so. It's terrible and creepy. The white rabbit is a stop motion taxidermied rabbit that comes to life.

This has the scene where he comes to life. Warning: Shit is creepy.
