Night of the Living Dead (original)

The Shining

Dawn of the Dead (original, aka Zombie)

Alien

The Evil Dead

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original)

The Thing (remake)

The Strangers

Paranormal Activity (I tried to watch it as a silly & overrated amateurish film but in fact it scared the shit out of me boxed)

Psycho (I swear I'll never sleep in a lonely, small motel)

Yeah, Blair Witch Project was pretty creepy. Some scenes had me jumping out of my seat and gasping aloud in the theatre.

I like all those movies

Exorcist messed me up good as a child..

but this one scene I LOVE from Pan's Labyrinth, because of the creepy stories told to me about the boogie man who eats kids as a child... my childhood nightmare was personified in this movie

the pale man....

Oh, I can't pick just one.

I'm not one for horror movies, but I love suspense. Give me any Hitchcock film from the 40s - Rebecca, Suspicion, Notorious, Spellbound, Shadow of a Doubt, Strangers on a Train - or Gaslight, directed by George Cukor - and I'm a happy girl.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
