Awsome post! I used to watch the Tarzan cartoon religiously, and to this day remember things like, "Unk, Mangani!". Remember the episode that was like King Kong but with a surviving mammoth and, I think, aliens? So freakin cool conceptually.

Have you all seen the video that Prince commissioned in the 90's from the animation studio for the song "MPLS"? He shelved it, and he didn't pay them. But it's great, and fits right in with this stuff, but it has more of a Sunbow Productions vibe (maybe it was them?). Kind of like the style of "Jem" or GI Joe. But not for kids! lol.

That's Lou Scheimer. One of the men behind Filmation. He also did the voice of Dumb Donald.

And don't forget about "The Ghostbusters", not to be confused with "The Real Ghostbusters" cartoon with Slimer and gang!

I actually hated the Filmation Ghostbusters, but would still watch it if it wasn't shit else on!!

TBDH, Jason Of Star Command is one of the most awesomely bad sci-fi series ever. The special effects were cheesey but funny as hell.
