Has anyone here had SPD or know anyone who has?

I haven't gone to my 6 week checkup yet, was wondering what the cure is?

I can't do abdominal excercises, it kills, and I need to know what to do so that I can.

I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure
I layed down with love and I woke up with lies
Whats it all worth only the heart can measure
It's not whats in the mirror but what's left inside

I had that!!! TIME cured it. The ligaments kind of sort themselves out and things fall back into place after a while. GetAwayFromMe had it too I think?

Some people have said that getting physiotherapy is a great way to get rid of pain temporarily, but lets face it, not everyone can afford weekly sometimes twice-weekly trips to the physio, so other alternatives are sleeping with a 'body pillow' (see link here) or putting a couple of thick cushions between your legs when sleeping. Some people have also suggested that hot and / or cold compresses can help when placed directly on the source of pain. Avoiding any sort of movement where you have to open your legs helps also, as does sitting down when putting on/taking off your pants and when getting into a vehicle, sitting down sideways with your legs both outside the car and lifting both legs together and moving them as one.

I still sleep with 2 pillows between my knees.

I'll be nursing for a year this time too.

Holy cow. lol I swore up and down left and right through the whole 9 months that I'd whip myself right back into shape the second this baby came out.

I know there are more important things, and that I have so much to be grateful for. It's just not something I had anticipated. I'm fucking old. Shit.

has nothing to do with age, but is all about the hormones. Just be really careful, don't do things with your legs wide open

no no no!

Ya know what? It turned out that I had a seriously huge hernia, the doctor said that it looked like my lower abdominal wall was just blown out. I saw pictures, it was nasty looking! They did surgery and it took over a year to be reasonably better. I still can't do abdominal work, and I don't think I ever will be able to.
