okay well, it was dark the times i flew over denver. so, that's not an actual photo. in fact i googled it. kinda liked the way the mountains set things off. so, i think it's safe to say there is probably a lot more to denver than that which is pictured. hope you have a fabulous time

Might have to check out that country gay bar. Traveling with a sweet co-worker of Ron's. Not sure she's ever done the whole gay bar thing.

I've lived in Denver all my life. Perhaps I'm a bit blase about it now, but here are some places of interest:
-Denver Museum of Nature and Science -Denver Zoo -Denver Art Museum -Colorado History Museum -Botanical Gardens -Capitol Building -Denver Mint -Denver Aquarium (a little pricey) -Coors Field -16th Street Mall (shops and restaurants abound) -Invesco Field -Pepsi Center -Four Seasons -Molly Brown house -Elitch Gardens -Auraria Campus (lots of historical buildings) -Tabor Center -Brown Palace Hotel
Clubs -Sutra -Church -Beta -JR's (gay bar) -Tracks (gay club) -Twisted Olive -Vinyl -La Boheme & Lonnie's Clocktower (very Cabaret) -a shitload of others in LoDo
I'm sure I'll remember more...in the meantime, enjoy your stay!

We went to Charlies and had a great time. Very down-home non pretentious. I assume this is the bar you were referring to since half of it had line dancing. The other half had top 40/current and retro dance music.
Some drunkass or high (I should talk) dude kept coming up to me and telling me to "quit being so mean"

And I thought that only happened to me! We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I was like REALLY???? :-/ He asked Ron to dance kissed us both on the cheeks but told me to stop being mean. (before I even spoke) We let our travel-hag go dance with him. [Edited 4/19/11 16:24pm] [Edited 4/19/11 16:25pm]

Travel hag? Does she fit in a one-quart Ziploc? We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

No, I have never been to "Denver" and by "Denver" I mean rehab. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment
