do you believe in horoscopes? are you the typical of your sign

i'm a typical scorpio.

i was reading this just now

my month long fling was with a taurus

A relationship between Scorpio and Taurus is a little dicey. Both these sun signs are stubborn and possessive. While Taurus is a little on the calmer, relaxed side, Scorpio tends to be overtly emotional and impulsive, due to which their partnership can face problems.

These two signs are very sensual and passionate, because of which their sexual life is more than pleasing. It is often noticed than Scorpio-Taurus couples enter into relationships based on physical attraction, and stick to each other mostly because they cannot bear to stay away from the satisfying physical play they indulge in. Both these sun signs have huge sexual appetites, and this is a major factor in keeping their relationship alive.*

They do not need to worry about either one cheating, as they themselves are so physically satisfied. It is true however, that only a physically satisfying relationship is not enough for a couple to be happy with each other. They need constant reassurance from each other that it is a long term relationship they are thinking of. Scorpios tend to connect more on the emotional side, and therefore look for partners who will connect to them from deep within. Taurus however, likes to treat the partner as a personal toy. This also can cause a few problems, and a lot of understanding and maturity is required from both the partners to handle such differences. Taureans and Scorpios can have a mutually satisfying relationship, if they connect well, intellectually, and also share common interest and hobbies.

*bullshit. i found the one with no sexual appetite at all. fuck sakes my grandfather was about to turn 83(surely not this sign though) and he was still constantly pinching my nana's ass or grabbing at her boob. he bragged about not needing viagra. that itallian stallion! those two were so cute.

the guy i just started hanging out with=

Scorpio and Aquarius will be a tricky match, as both personalities are very different from each other. While Aquarius is idealistic, heady and practical, Scorpio is intensely passionate and intuitive. The emotional outbursts of a Scorpio can really surprise an Aquarian, because he will not understand what the fuss is all about. An Aquarius is the epitome of unpredictability, and this might irritate the ambitiousScorpio. Aquarius also likes to keep friendships, and is highly sociable. He remembers all his friends' birthdays, attends parties, is connected to his family and is more of a people person. Scorpio however, prefers the solace of being alone in quiet corner, not having to worry about the world. These euphoric phases are quite a regular feature for the Scorpio. This will not be taken too well with an Aquarian, who does not believe in sending out mixed signals or being indecipherable.

The Aquarius also believes in keeping his freedom, and using it even after he has entered into a committed relationship. He does not necessarily like to cuddle all day in bed, or like to be together all the time. He may like to go out with his friends as a group, and have good fun. Scorpio tends to stabilize an Aquarian by not appreciating his unpredictable ways, and being extremely arrogant to him at times, just to put their point across. Scorpio and Aquarius will have a good sexual relationship, as both of them are not wary of exploring each other. While Scorpio is very passionate, Aquarius is imaginative and this helps in sustaining a good sex life. A relationship however, needs to be well thought of, as a lot of misunderstandings can take place between the two.

my fave rockstar is michael hutchence from inxs and he was an aquaris.

my mom's a virgo. she's like oil and water with me.

dad is a scorpio. most of his side and stepmoms side are/were scorpios too.

i think most of it's hot air and bullshit but sometimes the horoscopes are so scarily dead on...this website i pretty spot on.

Well, I have never felt like a typical Capricorn because I'd always read how they are stingy, perfectly organised, unspontaneous, careful and cold. However, I checked your link and I could recognize myself in many aspects of what Capricorns are like according to them. I just couldn't relate to conventional, naturally practical and very cautious.

I used to be much more interested in zodiac when I was younger. Just like so many things affect us during our birth I can accept that the position of the planets and other sky objects might be a circumstance to consider (the whole idea is pretty interesting to me), but I don't really give it much importance nowadays; I never read it in the papers for instance, but I would love to learn about it in a somehow deeper way.

Reading Horoscope predictions is fun, but I don't often take them to heart.. but I am pretty much "textbook" when it comes to my Zodiac sign; Taurus.

I'm an April Taurus... ~ I only make the distinction b/c all the May Tauruses I know are weirder than me.. lol wink

Ruled by Venus--loving, nurturing, very sensual with the right partner

loyal, reliable
patient, sensitive

tactile, loves the arts and 'creature comforts' - and working very hard for them...

needs security/stability--be it finance and/or relationships, friendships.

Does not like any change that threatens said security/stability, any relationships...

All about honesty & integrity; expecting the same of those around them (sometimes unrealistically, which ends up with me getting hurt.. and angry).

I'm not that "stubborn," but my anger is... a bit scary lol

I really don't want to lash out at those I truly care about when they do something wrong/hurt me, so, I usually end up holding it all in (which I know isn't good for me, but.... shrug neutral )

Taurus is most compatible with: Cancer, Virgo, Capricorn

Birthstone: Diamond biggrin

Day: Friday

Number: 9

As for the element, Earth:

Earth Signs - Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn

Earth is real, you can see it, hold it, smell it. Suitably so, earth signs are very "down to earth" and real. Earth is the foundation on which everything is built. Earth people are solid and stable and composed of many different parts, they are multi faceted people, like the many mineral compounds that make the earth. There is nothing wishy-washy about these people, they do not have their head in the clouds, They are dependable, you know they will always be there and they are stable. Most of the time anyway, more stable then the other elements. Earth does not change. It stays there and allows whatever is growing to continue to grow and progress. Earth people are not fond of change, they like stability and regular life that can grow upon and develop. Why start something new if what is already there is fine? Earth people are the most materialistic and possessive of all astrology zodiac elements. Earth people are also concerned with what's on the surface and never really dig deep to get to the bottom of it, they are happy with what's on the surface.

Taurus

The first earth sign, Taurus is the most stable and the strongest. Taurus are known for their stubborn nature and their unwillingness to change. Taurus is earthly sensual and wants harmony and happiness, creating it by their surroundings, holding tight to the people and the things in their life. They have a solid foundation and help other to build theirs too, they are dependable, nurturing and wise.

Virgo

The middle sign is represented by the middle of earth, not quite on the surface and not quite deep down either. Stuck in the middle and indecisive. Virgo lives in their own world on a earthly-mental plane. They observe and think with quick analytical precision, and are flexible, helpful and stable. Virgo is the least physical of the earth signs.

Capricorn

Represented by the lower earth, Capricorn is the earth in it's most basic and purest form. Just like the pure earth is made up of various elements, Capricorn has many sides and takes interest in everything from materialistic possessions to solid to being a powerful status symbol. Sort of like the depths of the earth, Capricorn is mysterious and deep. They can be dark, not in a malicious sense, but in a depressed sort of way since they are very conservative and have a difficult time with pleasure since they are so concerned and involved in their work and the more serious aspects of life.

I think it's important to know what your rising sign is. Sometimes, it is much stronger than your sun sign. For example, my sun sign is Leo but my rising sign is Cancer. I'm more Cancer than Leo. Fire and Water. Water puts out the fire. Talk about conflict! Guess that's why I'm always at odds with myself.

No, I don't think it's (the position of the sky objects at the moment of our birth) something that can determine what our lives will look like, I think that the way we lead our lives and decisions we make are much more complex, spontaneous and flexible, but perhaps it could have affected some parts of our personality.

Aquarius REPRESENT! To the T it fits me wink

Aquarius About Your Sign...

Aquarians basically possess strong and attractive personalities. They fall into two principle types: one shy, sensitive, gentle and patient; the other exuberant, lively and exhibitionist, sometimes hiding the considerable depths of their character under a cloak of frivolity. Both types are strong willed and forceful in their different ways and have strong convictions, though as they seek truth above all things, they are usually honest enough to change their opinions, however firmly held, if evidence comes to light which persuades them that they have been mistaken. They have a breadth of vision that brings diverse factors into a whole, and can see both sides of an argument without shilly-shallying as to which side to take. Consequently they are unprejudiced and tolerant of other points of view. This is because they can see the validity of the argument, even if they do not accept it themselves. They obey the Quaker exhortation to "Be open to truth, from whatever source it comes," and are prepared to learn from everyone.

Both types are humane, frank, serious minded, genial, refined, sometimes ethereal, and idealistic, though this last quality is tempered with a sensible practicality. They are quick, active and persevering without being self-assertive, and express themselves with reason, moderation and sometimes, a dry humor.

They are nearly always intelligent, concise, clear and logical. Many are strongly imaginative and psychically intuitive, so that the Age of Aquarius, which is about to begin, is much anticipated by psychic circles as an age in which mankind will experience a great spiritual awakening. The Aquarian philosophical and spiritualbent may be dangerous in that it can drive the subjects into an ivory-tower existence where they meditate on abstractions that bear little relevance to life. On the other hand it can help the many who have scientific leanings to combine these with the Aquarian yearning for the universal recognition of the brotherhood of man, and to embark on scientific research to fulfill their philanthropic ideals of benefiting mankind. When some cause or work of this nature inspires them, they are capable of such devotion to it that they may drive themselves to the point of exhaustion and even risk injuring their health.

Both types need to retire from the world at times and to become temporary loners. They appreciate opportunities for meditation or, if they are religious, of retreats. Even in company they are fiercely independent, refusing to follow the crowd. They dislike interference by others, however helpfully intended, and will accept it only on their own terms. Normally they have good taste in drama, music and art, and are also gifted in the arts, especially drama.

In spite of the often intensely magnetic, forthcoming and open personality of the more extrovert kind of Aquarian, and of their desire to help humanity, neither type makes friends easily. They sometimes appear to condescend to others and take too little trouble to cultivate the acquaintance of people who do not particularly appeal to them.

They do not give themselves easily - perhaps their judgment of human nature is too good for that - and are sometimes accounted cold. But once they decide that someone is worthy of their friendship or love, they can exert an almost hypnotic and irresistible mental attraction on them and will themselves become tenacious friends or lovers, ready to sacrifice everything for their partners and be faithful to them for life. However, they are sometimes disappointed emotionally because their own high personal ideals cause them to demand more of others than is reasonable. And if they are deceived their anger is terrible. If disillusioned, they do not forgive.

Aquarians work best in group projects, provided that they are recognized as having a leading part in them. They have a feeling of unity with nature and a desire for knowledge and truth that makes them admirable scientists, especially astronomers and natural historians. They may excel in photography, radiography, electronics - anything connected with the electrical and radio industries - aviation and everything technical. On the arts and humanities side their progressive tendencies can be expressed in writing, especially poetry, and broadcasting, or as welfare workers and teachers. Some have gifts as entertainers and make good character actors (having an ability to mimic) and musicians. The more psychic among them possess healing gifts, especially in curing the mentally sick.

Among the faults to which they are liable are fanatical eccentricity, wayward egotism, excessive detachment and an inclination to retreat from life and society, and a tendency to be extremely dogmatic in their opinions. Aquarians can be a threat to all they survey or a great boon for humanity in general. Circumstances - for example, continuous opposition to a cause they hold dear - may cause the atrophy of the openness of mind that is one of the Aquarian's most attractive traits. They may express a lack of integrity in broken promises, secretiveness or cunning. Simmering anger and resentment, rudeness or, worse, a tense, threatening silence which may suddenly burst out in eruptions of extreme temper, these are all part of the negative side of the Aquarian. This can also reveal itself in a sustained hatred for enemies that is capable of enlarging itself into a misanthropy toward the whole of mankind.

I do not believe in the horoscopes in the Daily papers. I like the Horoscope magazines and websites that give info for the SUN Signs and the transits of the planets. The info is more accurate. I am a typical Capricorn.

I don't believe in those daily horoscopes you see in the morning paper nor many of the websites that just ask for you birthday but I do believe that astrology gives one insight into certain characteristics and personality traits that otherwise cannot be attributed to genetics and family upbringing which is why natal chart readings are important. I fit my sign pretty much 98% and I include both sun and rising signs.

Perhaps the better question is "do we believe in astrological chart readings?".

I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!
RIP Dick Clark, Whitney Houston, Don Cornelius, Heavy D, and Donna Summer. rose

I used to be all up in the daily scopes and what not and I find some interesting things readin' thru em but, day to day I don't read em anymore, only on my birth anniversary ...

Peace ... & Stay Funky ...
