I will say that after having seen the show, I believe that the press photo was simply a terrible one, and that they all film much prettier in motion rather than that crappy publicity still. They're attractive girls. Not the movie starlet or video chick type we see in the media standard. Just regular, good looking Janes that you could see on any street anywhere, in real life.

I think they're showing that next week. They'll also be showing Jimmy's mama flipping and knocking down the cameras because she doesn't want Chrissy to marry her son . I personally think Chrissy is cute. She could probably be a good wife for Jim. Although I personally am not into the chick-proposing and prsenting a ring, I was impressed that she at least had a cookie jar stash of her own to use for a special occasion/emergency situation. Yes it is, but if she didn't come back with double the attitude, they would have stomped all over her. She knows what type of people she has to face and I'm glad she stood up to Renee and showed no fear, although I bet she really has some in her. That type of lifestyle is nothing new in NYC, there's still a lot of mob-connected families living all over here into that shady, type of lifestyle.

You do have a point. Why did they agree to do this show if there's a vow of silence like Renee claims? Remember the other girl said Renee is the only one who swears by the traditional ways of the mob? Supposedly it was ex-mayor Giuliani who took down the mafia organization of NYC, when Gotti was still around. Gotti used to run Howard Beach, that racist community in Queens, NY where many minorities used to get attacked walking through there--males and females, even while in their cars. Talk about sick.

I heard stories from friends who spoke to black bus drivers who had to go through there, back in the day, and the stories that came out of it. It still has a lot of people living there that have that type of mentalilty, although, the demographics have changed, and many people of color, East Indians, Hispanic population, are living there among some of the White people that still live there. Not too sure if any Black families are living there, since I haven't been near that side of Queens for a while, but my son used take classes at a school in that area, and I used to be nervous about him being there once it got dark, and hoping he didn't get attack. That was in the mid 90s though.

Giuliani was the one who took down the mafia organization in NYC, and went after Gotti and his family hard. Sad thing is some kids are impressed with that type of lifestyle. That mob lifestyle, which is nothing but a "gangsta" and "thug" lifestyle. I think this show does nothing but just props up the gangsta lifestyle for the street gangs. Not a good thing at all, especially on VH-1 which was really geared towards the 16 - 25 audience, but seems to have changed their demographics. You may be right, Vh1 may be following in the footsteps of "crazy" from some of the Bravo shows.

It was quite ridiculous IMO. Ok, so your credit is bad - shit happens - but why pull out a bag of cash afterward? All he had to do was buy the car outright. Seemingly there was about $16-20 grand in the plastic bag. Just a hot mess. Sinbad goes into some lecture about how people shouldn't worry about credit because no one ever turns down cash. Sorry I spoiled it.

Everybody's on reality shows. I watched Mob Wives half way the other day and could not get with the drama... and watched a little bit of Sinbad's family show and it was okay, but I still like the Gene Simmons family show better. I guess what got me interested in the show was to see this rockstar person in real life and opposite of what I thought he would be like. But I haven't seen any shows since a few months now.

I guess the concepts of real life drama takes the place of soap opera dramas and putting them out of business.
