Technically I was banned for two weeks behind some bullshit.
But I was gonna be in Europe for 2 weeks anyway so
I kicked it at Cannes, in Paris, and Italy. Now I'm in Miami and get home on Friday.

Did you see her "Psychic Party" where she invited people over for drinks to have their fortunes told? With the cocktail in one hand and then the cigarette in the other, all shaking and trembling of lip? ...all I could think was, 'Renee girl, you are such a drama queen' . Every other cast member on the show has a selfish aspect to their personality (Drita-betrys friends for a man, Karen- using her re-entry into the scene to pad a book, Carla- slightly two faced and gets down with whoever serves her need to be it, be it Drita or a man outside her marriage). Renne is just a big ole loud, crying pile of hot messedness that loves and gives too much, and it makes her seem harmless). Plus, as we've now found out her former-first attempt at a career outside of being a mob wife/daughter, she was working around high profile media figures in music, so she's got a gift of gab and prolly knows how to jump in the mix when she's around a bunch of people....I think out of all the girls, if there was ever a spin-off (gawd forbid), she's be the break-out star. She's loud enough to draw attention, but kinda harmless at the same time. Plus she does

Yes I agree. Out of all of them Renee is my favorite. Sure she is dramatic, loud and obnoxious at times, her son ignores her and her ex-hubby tries to act like he don't love her like she does, yet jumps to the rescue every time she calls him...but deep down Renee has a good heart. You can tell that she's sincere and just wants you to listen to her. Even with Junior, she knows they have no future but she still cares about him, she's used to caring about him and will always love him even though he may not deserve it.

I was shocked cuz typically them mob chicks and those from certain areas of NYC don't get down with the swirl cuz they know they'll catch a beatin' from the men in their lives. Looks like her baby daddy was down with Sammy the Bull's and her brother's exstacy drug ring and went to jail when they did. Her boyfriend and brother got 9 years while Sammy got 25.

Yes I like her. She seems down to earth and not phony at all. She is the show. The others, I agree with you. Drita is all mouth, no action, and talks a lot of sh*t. Karla is an ass for allowing her very, young son to talk to her like she's an animal, and he has absolutely no respect for her, and if his Dad, when he gets out of jail, doesn't put his ass in check before he becomes a teen, you can clearly see he will grow up to disrespect women.

I think that Soprano type mentality is still pervasive in the culture and that lifestyle. Now back in the mid 70s, in Rosedale, Queens, NY where there was a high, percentage of Italian families connected to the mob, they ran that area to the point that if you were a black male walking through that neighborhood, you were guaranteed to be attacked by a gang with bats, and chased out of there. What was weird is that Italian kids of those families, went to school with Blacks and hung around them and got along. Unfortunately, when those kids Italian kids went home to their community, it was obvious their parents did not like the idea of them hanging with Blacks outside of school. There was also homes pipe-bombed if any Blacks tried to purchase a home within those communities. I can still remember all the stories. Reverend Daughtry, led the last march through that community sometime around 88-89, demanding the racial injustices stop. I lived in just about one town over from that area, growing up.

I agree about the older, Italian women and their values. Many of the younger generation of Italian women do work and have careers. I did notice how the HWONJ are all basically stay-at-home moms. My sister lived in Italy for 2 years, and would tell me all about her experience, and she speaks fluent Italian. It's funny because I remember when she would start speaking Italian to some Italians back here in NYC, when she returned, and they were shocked she spoke it to them. She actually learned it on her own. I have yet to speak another language fluently. I took French and Spanish when I was in 3rd grade, and took 4 years of Spanish in High School, but only know, very little of either language now. Now I wish I didn't take it for granted and wish I could speak both of those languages now. Never too late.
