It is called the epicanthic fold. It is a flap of skin over the eyes that causes the eye to have an “Asian” appearance, or what is often known as “slant” or “slitty” eyes. Although Asians of the yellow-skin “northern” variety tend to have it, it occurs in several locations throughout the world (Scandinavians sometimes have it). Singer Björk famously has the fold.

On women, it is sometimes seen as exotic (to westerners) and even desirable to some extent—when sexualizing or fetishizing Asian women.

But on men, it is almost Universally panned, and the Asian male in the west is often seen as the least desirable of sexual partners. Penis jokes aside, Asian men have a sexually neutered past in America stemming from countless depictions in popular culture as being the nerdy comic relief (America seems to have only recently moved past the “hahaha, foreigners are funny” mentality in the media).

I myself, am noticeably Asian. Though, I do not posses the epicanthic fold, I was ridiculed while growing up as being ugly, nerdy, and un-American. I grew up thinking I was ugly. I grew up thinking I was….less than… And this is a feeling that is very hard to combat.

I started this thread for a few reasons…But, none of them are an attempt to convince any of you that Asian men are, indeed, sexually desirable. Some of you will look at these faces and find them extreme or feminine, or just not desirable. And that’s ok. I started this thread for the sheer fact that I have been liberated from the mentality that Asian men are not real men.

They are real men..And they are sexy, and cute, and humorous, and yes---smart. But, mostly….they are pleasing to the eyes.

I didn't do an Asian women thread because they're generally considered goregeous by just about every country.

Asian, men are generally considered undesirable, which is why I went in that direction.
