About two months before my 16th birthday. Not quite the romantic story I was hoping for, but I don't really regret it - It's true when they say you learn from your mistakes.

It was in the public changing rooms at a beach with a guy I'd met up with that night, my friends had left me with him to pick up one of their boyfriends Let's just say, by the time I turned 16 .. all limits were off and I was running wild.

EDIT - I feel like this was so long ago, when in reality it was about three years ago. The girl then compared to the girl now is literally a different person. It's crazy looking back on your past, ain't it!

Oh, honey - it never does the first time. First, because girls have overly romantic ideas of what it'll be like. And second, because young guys have no fucking clue what they're doing.

I lost mine at 19. I actually picked the guy really carefully. It was someone I knew fairly well, but wasn't in a romantic relationship with. I wanted to do it with someone I didn't have any illusions about. I knew we wouldn't be anything more than friends afterward - but I could trust him to be kind and not spread gossip about me.

As a result, it was a pleasant experience. Not earth-moving, but totally all right and within expectations.
