I read recently that its completely genetic, that there is nothing you can do for it short of transplants (which don't always work, cost a lot, are expensive and can look funky).

nod Propecia and/or minoxidil can help men who have just started to bald (although apparently they're more for the crown and can't help the hairline?). You have to stay on this stuff for the rest of your life.

Transplants might help, with a very skilled surgeon, but also are really only a viable option for people with minimal loss, who are willing to stay on Propecia and/or minoxidil for the rest of their lives.

If you don't have a head that looks good shaved, buzz down what's left, be confident and get some cool hats. nod

That guy nailed his modeling gig with that smug "I know I'm cool" smirk. It's like telling a great joke with a straight face. Perfect. lol

Identity

I was so ashamed of my bald spot that I tried every bogus tonic and growth product under the sun. Finally, I embraced the inevitable and grew a goatee to complement my change in appearance. As a result, I've been very pleased and felt more self-assured.
