okay one last ? about FLAC Converters and before i start i just long for the days of record fairs
okay i have been sent a gig via a website
i download it
no problem
i save it
cant play it cos its in FLAC form
i download a FLAC converter to mp3/mp4
finally press "convert"
it converts ONLY THREE SONGS.........
try other flac converters
they all start asking for money............
the free ones apparently have talking all the way through
AURGHHHHHHHH
jeezo i only want to play the extended parade in my car(Which plays mp3 format)
i may as well book a flight back to briatain and just physically unearth all my old boots
so my question is.......
is there a very very simple programme that will kindly convert my FLAC parade to a format that i can burn to a cd???? so i can enjoy the CD??

Download Winamp http://www.winamp.com/ It's a free media player, it will play FLAC, mp3 and pretty much every other file type.
Now you can download FLAC, and listen to FLAC instead of fannying around converting to shitty mp3.
You can also burn straight from FLAC to cd.
It's free, and it works a treat.

I used audacity with free plug in.
http://audacity.sourcefor.../download/
when you go to export it as a wav or mp3 it will tell you what you will need to download. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

I use winamp too but I've been converting to wav. I needed a step by step when I set it up but once it's done, it's easy enough. This is pretty old though. I haven't tried burning from flac straight to cd.

Download the VLC media player, its is free and plays EVERYTHING. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ Seriously, if your only problem is just being able to play FLAC files, this is the way to go. Its one of the best pieces of software ever created. It should come standard on every PC, but never will because Microsoft is all up in everything. Trust me, you will never regret downloading this.
If you're looking to convert the FLAC files (because of space issues) I still say use download.com Search for convert flac to mp3, sort License Type to Free over on the left hand side, then browse as is or use the dropdown menu at the top and set it to Most Popular. Read some descriptions and reviews then download some programs you feel comfortable giving a try. Just remember that a lot of reviews are from stupid people or people who had problems on their PCs prior to downloading.

Or Audacity or WinAmp, like they said. ^^^ I haven't used WinAmp in a few years, but I used to love it.

It works, I used to do it all the time, now I just keep everything on my HD's.

Burning FLAC files straight to audio CD is the best option in my opinion. I still burn my FLAC boots with Nero 7 and shit sounds flawless.
