My wife's pissed me off something chronic today, but I have to be in control, step back and see what's best for us and have the patience to deal with it without letting my pride make me lash out because I've been wronged and try to get some kind of moral satisfaction/vengeance. I'm thankful today for the patience not to do that, but instead do what I think is ultimately for the best in the long run.

I am EXTREMELY thankful for my son making it home from Afghanistan!!!

I am thankful I get to see him on Friday!! I suppose im gonna bawl like a baby the second I step off the plane and see his beautiful face!

I am so very thankful my daughter has had no complications thus far in her pregnancy and everything is going great in her life

I'm thankful that I was able to leave the house today with a smile.

A forced smile...but a smile nontheless.

my Westie [West Highland White Terrier], Lexie, who will be 10 this August (I've had her since she was 3 months old).. my 18-lb ball of love/bodyguard

my family

especially my mom, sibs (even the odd one I rarely talk to) & the little ones ~ my 6 nieces & 2 nephews

my job (web developer; full time, and freelance)

9 years @ my full time job come this August... we had no raise the last 4 yrs, 4 rounds of lay-offs in under 2 yrs, and just lost 2 more ppl from my dept last week (one of them was kind of awful to work with; no one liked her.. 2 great ppl quit b/c they couldn't stand working with her anymore)

my new doctor

she is absolutely wonderful (old doc was ok, but he was always booked; couldn't get an appt in under 6 weeks)

and my life/health.. ok, so far --- I just wish I could make myself take better care of me, like actually taking time off and relaxing for a change.. I've got 53 sick days and 54 vacation days this year 'cause I work all the time

I'm thankful that my mouthing off to the garbage man who had no need to give me attitude this morning didn't escalate.

This bacon cheeseburger and cajun fries, they're the only thing between me and someone in this office getting cut today.

I am thankful for just about everything, just never when I really need to be!

The tears I've shed for finally approaching closure...

I'm thankful that my 15-year-old nephew had successful neck surgery. It was a 10-hour procedure. He'll be in intensive care for two days, and should be home in another four.
